I've never had one that hasn't rusted after a while sadly & I'm afraid I don't trust Amazon reviews as much as I used to since there are so many fb groups where reviews are paid for

At the end of the day, you're having a fire in a painted metal container, so the paint will burn off because of the heat, then the metal will rust because the metal now has no protection

They look better rusted anyway

That one in the OP looks really nice to be fair. Just don't think i'd ever use a fire pit - if its warm enough anyway then you don't need one and if its cold then I go inside. Plus the smell of smoke on you the next day - eugh!

Out of stock online

Really nice design. Normally find fire bowls/pits quite ugly but this one is really cool. The people complaining that it's rusted are making a bit of a drama out of it I think as there is a big difference between a bit of surface rust from where the paint has been burnt off and any actual structural rust or rotting of the panels.

We have an old oil drum that has been used as an incinerator for the past couple of years which burnt it's paint off when we first got it so has rusted all around the outside where the paint used to be but structurally it is still completely solid. I expect it will be rotten and falling to bits one day but it will take a while for that.

The pyramid chiminea looks good value at £59 from £79
