Thank you, I have a few empty ones put back.

Nice one..Yep I threw them all away in the end..

selected catridges only

Very very limited cartridges accepted, only the kind that you will get significantly more selling empty on eBay

I had spoke to them about a month ago as they had no link on their site and was told they no longer recycle ink cartridges. I spoke to Clubcard there now now and they confirmed they are still doing it but the acceptable list is very small compared to what it used to be and only a handful of cartridges give 125 points.

It used to be possible to buy hundreds of cartridges on ebay for 60p each and convert to £1 tesco voucher each. Just not possible anymore and the accepted cartridges will sell for more than the tesco vouchers are worth

u take it they have to be proper branded cartridges?
I buy 24(6 of each colour) for £6 delivered but there only copies.
would they take them?

No.

Sadly been abused by the ebay brigade ,,now people with genuine carts for their older printers get nothing anymore ..used mine for Diabetic donations ..sadly not taking my HP 364 anymore ..Some people just wreck it for everyone .

not worth the hassle. Especially when you have to chase your points & you get some excuse that the cartridges wasn't good enough to be reused. only ever sent in about 9 - 2 got credited, 3 I was told didnt pass their tests & I didnt bother chasing the other 4.
**** recycling. planet will be here long after im gone.

Used to chase the inks but game not worth the candle any more.

Only worth it if you can get them from workplace or similar.

Can't see that there's much to recycle in an ink cart anyway, this was just Tesco trying to look green and now they are more concerned about cutting costs.

I think that they refill them. They certainly have to be electronically functional to be accepted

You'll be lucky to get anything, sent several eligible used cartridges off to these and never heard a thing, no points for me

Thanks OP for the info.

What type or brand or model of ink cartridges can I send please?

500 points originally with a lot more choice

I think if you work on the basis that you buy these from eBay and send them in you can end up with 3 or 4x value for minimal outlay. Certainly helped me buying eurotunnel for a third of the price.

What Bob says.

Used to work at cartridge world and you just refill them and some require a reset of the electronics. Pretty much all of them will work again unless they sponge inside has totally dried out or is a brand like Lexmark that has a setting agent that seals when empty. That's prob what they base awarding the points on and damage to the cartridge, which should be minimal.

Isn't points for something you'd otherwise just chuck away better than nowt though?

My old canon colour cartridge is still on the list, but the black and white one has gone - pg-40. Good job my printer will be changed at the end of the current cartridges. Had loads of points over the years, did sell some on eBay, but the points worked out slightly better. They used to have big recycling machines at two stores near me, where you could get points for drinks cans. Looks like the Tescos recycling is finished. Back to EBay then

the upside to not being able to recycle PG40 anymore is that refilled ones are now very cheap to buy on ebay

obviously they stopped recycling them as they cant make any money on them due to the drop in price

you also cant cash out till you have £20 credit with them so that and carts that they dont give you credit for just make it not worth it anymore

cold from me

Totally agree with you. I sent 10 off they credited me for 3, saying they never received 5 and 2 were dodgy (print heads).

Sent 17 off with 50/50 charity split marked, after reading all the comments I just hope they at least get their money. Any bets on how many will be credited?

These guys do a £1 a cartridge and have a larger selection criteria...
I have no affiliation, just found them on Google
