I received the e-mail and just deleted it, I've been getting bombarded with invitations for paypal credit for ages now but that's the last thing I need, It just encourages you spend money you don't have.

Same. Rubbish offer just for £20 off a spend!
So not for existing accounts hey
Received email a few minutes ago and deleted it.
I got this email but thinking of leaving it as I don't really want the hassle of another credit account to manage or having to be credit checked either. I like more flexible managed payments like Paypal pay after delivery and the split payment system Amazon are rolling out. Simple automated and no application needed, those are the future IMHO....
You dont get £20 off. You may be chosen to get £20, its not guaranteed. Slyly worded.

If you're irresponsible or unable to manage your money then deal with the root cause(s). Majority of people like myself are perfectly capable of managing credit without going on spam fueled spending sprees.
£20 off a £40 spend whats not to like
It says both the first 25k to enrol and open a paypal credit account and then the first 25k to complete a transaction that’s two different methods of allocating the 25k entry’s to me?

Not so sure. I got the email and already enrolled in it. Never bought anything with it though, just enrolled as a just in case due to the silly offer Paypal are running of 24 months interest free via Paypal Credit.
Got it
You "might" get £20 off your next transaction.... so you need to spend £60 in order to maybe get £20 off
PayPal credit is brilliant. Often toy get 0% on purchases. You can buy and sell without a penny ever leaving your account. It's really useful provided you can control your spending.
It's says you have to spend 40 at parcipitating retailers to qualify for the 20 but I cannot see anywhere a list of parcipitating retailers?

A £40 spend only qualifies you for a £20 "reward" which you can then use against a second spend of at least £20. In effect, £20 off at least £60. The headline makes it sound like £20 off a £40 spend.

One thing I don't need is credit, I'm perfectly capable of paying my way without it, "It just encourages you spend money you don't have" was meant in general.
will work on ebay if i've got the email?
Anyone found the list of participating merchants?
My email just came through, and its for a £20 minimum spend!
Got the acknowledgement email, spent over £20 using paypal, paid the full lot......

Those people who got the acknowledgement email did, I got the email and was on my account. If you didn't get the email it means you weren't one of the first 25,000.
