The word vegan makes it sound healthy...

Who ever said vegan food was to do with health? It's about not using animals in food, clothing etc.
Some people choose a plant based diet for health reasons but that's not the same as vegan
Wow didn't realise how offensive it was to be Vegan lol. Don't get why people have the hump over someones decision to not eat meat, it doesn't impact me and my choices so who cares, crack on eating what you want to eat and enjoy !
I see people in this thread are mad at food again.

I count vegan as a restricted diet not a healthy one. Some people choose it because they have no choice, some do it for animal cruelty reasons (fruit & veg were living things before they were picked too but who am I to argue with their choice) & some just think it’s cool.
Personally I am dairy (A1 protein to be exact so I can’t even have lactose free stuff) & gluten intolerant since having my daughter so vegan food is ok in my book.
Hate pizza without cheese & have not been to Pizza Hut since they refused to put my safe cheese on their pizza so I could eat it
I may have to try this this weekend

What size pizzas?
maybe we should start a site called 'not bad Uk deals'
Just be aware I tried Papa John's one yesterday and the cheese is nearly like a sauce. It's the one thing that doesn't seem to have a good Vegan copy of is cheese

Actually a fully veggie loaded pizza is our adult pizza of choice (asda / morrisons made fresh counter) ..even if the base is bad biscuit & not really pizza base ...we Brits eat anything, ..the killer punch is my local morrisons has a very nice stone clad italian oven so it seems a sham that when charging £6 for pizza they cant produce better dough with a machine instead of preformed biscuit base that gets tired & tasteless v. quickly.

But heat OP half price, may have to starve myself & go for the max slice record & disgust my family members on an eat all you want day!

If u have food intolerances then I would personally cut out all plants and go zero -carb/meat based as an elimination diet. Plants are full of lectins such as gluten. Thousands of micro anti-nutrients. Really famous book the plant paradox looks into this.

My reason for my post was that vegan = healthy eating and all these junk food companies r making their crap food sound healthy.. i'd expect it's full of awful industrial seed oils and other junk and then sold as healthy..

I like some of the vegan "cheeses" when cold but I haven't found one that melts nicely when cooked.

Yeah, we tend to batch cook the good stuff, but y'know, when you are hungry, want a quick supper (with salad) ..I have 120 double portions of spag bol (home-made in the freezer)

Agree! As a sometimes Vegan, I made pizza with the Violife 'mozzarella' substitute and while, yes, cold it tasted similar to regular Mozzarella (meaning the texture was similar), when melted it was completely inedible to me, like a very gloopy sticky white béchamel. I would also carefully scrutinise what exactly is contained in all these vegan substitutes. Eating whizzed up vegetable oil, nuts and gelling agent is not automatically more healthy than the cheese it's replacing.

Does anyone (pizza hut employees perhaps) know if these new pizzas are wheat free?

Where do you get it? My local Sainsbury's is often out of stock.
News article mentions code, where do you get it from?

If you ever get the chance, go to Purezza in either Camden or Brighton. The best tasting pizzas I've ever had, with amazing cheese substitute. All vegan
My local is also valid on the 10th
If they're as good as their meaty pizzas I'll give them a miss, thanks.

I bought my daughter the pizza with vegan cheese in Asda off their pizza counter and it was the same and was absolutely gross.

I thought the same. Had vegan cheese at Pizza Hut & I had to scrape it off my teeth as it just coated them. They wouldn’t let me bring my own cheese to put on pizza as it could cause contamination in the kitchen! My pizza i’ll take the chance & if necessary give you permission to bring my uncooked pizza out to me so I can put cheese on myself.
Their purchasing team need to try this food before they sell it because it’s

Yep. I’m A1 protein intolerant & drink A2 milk because it tastes like milk. It doesn’t make my food & drinks taste sweet.
Can’t have lactose free stuff but I can still manage small amounts of hard cheese or dairy milk chocolate as long as I don’t over do it.
Freddie Kruger trying to get out of my guts as everything moves south is not nice at all I miss Philadelphia sooooooo much
