Get a price RISE if you're already a Sky customer!

That's the price of loyalty!

I've just given notice on my Sky TV account but this time I'm not planning to take an offer to stay to with Sky. My decision was based on Sky's attitude to 'loyal' customers. I got fed up with having to threaten to leave each year just to get a better deal, and the hit and miss nature with some customers getting much better deals than others. I've had Sky for almost 20 years but a short disconnection earlier this year (when attempting to get a better deal) means they regard my Sky VIP status as silver and I missed out on free Sky Q offer. I'm not paying for the 'free' Sky Q boxes - they wanted to charge £215 for main box and two mini boxes. There's enough content out with other services such as Netflix and Amazon. Plus there's NOW TV if there's something on Sky that I want to see (I know it's from Sky but it's cheaper and more flexible).

Hope you feel better after that rant
I was in similar position couple of years back. Had been with sky since bskyb days. I finally changed to Virgin to get good 'new customer' deal but kept dish so now can rotate as new customer when deals end - which (with virgin at least) as they know have both available seems to also help come retention call time.

That wasn't a rant. I was adding to the comment about loyalty.
I quit the TV package a few years ago so now I get come back offers of 70% off via email every so often. moved took out broadband first year £20 including line rental cancelled second year £25 fibre optic including line rental cancelled now on £15 just broadband not fibre including line rental

I apologise. I wasn’t aware the rant police were monitoring these forums.

Apology accepted
No one likes to read a moan round here.
Sky have just offered me the following as a new customer:

Sky Box Set pack
Sky Q Box - 1tb
Sky Fibre Unlimited Broadband (incl phone line rental)

£50 per month on a 18 month contract.
They waived the £20 activation and £10 Router del fee.

Is this a 'decent' offer?

Same offer as they gave me, I accepted then called a day later saying I had found a better deal, so they put £50 credit on my account
They offered me £40 credit - which I turned down. That was the end of that then lol
