Couldn't agree more. Also IME far less resource hungry and naggy than paid alternatives, it just gets on with it in the background, which is exactly what you want an antivirus to do.

That said, I have heated this deal anyway as those with a young family might appreciate the parental features but anyone else is probably just as good with the Windows Defender they already have with Windows 10...
Isn’t this just to see what your child is up to online that sort of protection or does it actually check for viruses etc as I can’t see that it does?

...if you have Norton then try to remove it, have fun removing all of it...
I agree with all the calls here not to install this stuff, unless you need the parental controls. Anti-virus software used to be essential, it isn't now with Windows 10 as it is built in. They peddle this stuff as a way to keep you "safer", but industry tests show that there is little/no difference between these products than Windows own built in protection.

I used to use free alternatives, but there's no need now with malwarebytes and windows defender.
