All you have to do is trade in your drink, and get a free boost smoothie.

For example;

Buy a £1 drink from mcdonalds, go to the boost juice bar in Highcross, trade your £1 drink in for a £5 smoothie!

Unlimited times you can do this.

Applies to Leicester store only.

Amazing, can it be a poundshop drink?

Sorry, I have to vote cold, people are starving in this world and I can't vote hot on a "deal" that's just pure waste of food.

Seriously cant see why on earth they would do this. its just wastefull - they could just give a free voucher out or something and it would have the same effect

Find a McDonalds cup and fill it with tap water....

On more serious terms, this is a really weird offer and as said above a complete waste of drink... Unless they're planning on collecting it for something...

homebargains etc..cheap little pop etc.. i think its like the trade in your mascara idea they do in boots etc

I don't think that that they can do anything but throw them away because of some strange law, the could be tampered with.

The title is misleading, it states Boost Juice Bars, and then says Leicester store only in the description. Don't like the promotion either, why encourage waste? Just offer a free drink to anyone who brings their own cup.

That's hardly a strange law. Would you buy an unsealed drink from a complete stranger?

Then how do food banks do it?

Food bank get food direct from the supermarket, if food has been out to the public then it has to be thrown away.
I bought some baby milk but got the wrong type, I returned it to Asda where I was told that any food returns have to be thrown away because of the possibility of it being tampered with.

They get some that way, anyone can donate directly though.

And I'd imagine it's more a case of they can't put it back on the shelf than it must legally be destroyed.
