Get a free echo dot with a valid home insurance policy @ very

Just had an email telling me if I take out home insurance with very by the 27/2/18, then they will give me a free amazon echo dot for my troubles.
So if your home insurance is due, and you can't get a better deal through Quidco or tcb, then this seems like a great alternative.
It includes building and contents, just building or just contents

I'm sure the Very quote will be highly competitive - NOT !
Mine is due on 3rd March, can I subscribe to this one while having the other one still "active"?

You don't know until you try, I'm guessing you are more a pessimist than an optimist

I would have thought so yes. Especially if you pay annually.
Worth a shot.

No definitely pessimist I have it written down.
Crazy, my home insurance is up for renewal later this month, I got a quote last week, gone up by £7 over last year to £109 inc accidental etc, just tried a Very quote, exact same cover pretty much came out at £288, that's one expensive Echo Dot!
I took out a policy with Very with this offer - was one of the cheapest quotes around, think it's through Royal Sun Alliance. Got the free Amazon Dot a few weeks ago, sold it on ebay to get half my insurance premium back - very happy! :-) Cover is good. Hopefully ok if I need to claim!

Mmmm ? offer only started 4 days ago , then you have to wait at least 28 days before you can even start the claim - Think the comment may refer to a previous offer -maybe ?

Apologies, looks to be exactly the 'same' offer. The original offer I took out at the beginning of Dec, which is exactly the same, ended on 28/2 so looks like they have changed the start date. Hope this helps.

Bit of a **** policy, it warns you when you do the quote that they only cover you for upto £40k of contents.

Nope, that would be dual Insurance which is not permitted. Whilst your reason is genuine it's to stop people taking out multiple policies and making multiple claims for the same loss. Ie of you got burgled who would you claim off? Would you claim off both?

Same here, went ahead with the quote anyway and it came up with £171.
Then went on quidco and through to the Go-compare website and got a quote of £121 which gave me everything I needed including an extra £17 for cover for our bikes away from home. The £30 cashback has already tracked so years cover for £91.

Thanks. I could have bought the insurance before 28th and start it on 3rd, that would have been ok I think. But the quote is not competitive anyway so I won't.
Wow . Was exspensive. Could of bought 2 for that quote
