Heat!

I've toyed with getting a card for a while but didn't like the idea of paying for membership (_;)

If you like Lower Than Atlantis, for 10k points you can go to Leeds or Oxford Street HMV and get a queue jump for a live acoustic set (2 x people) and you get a free cd (1 x cd) for them to sign.

The CD (also signed) is £10.99 at Amazon:

You get one point for every penny, one jackie chan poster costs 150,000 points oO
It's just not even worth bothering with.

To be fair, it is a poster signed by Jackie Chan...

When I go to the HMV Pure website, it still says £3. I just signed up to the newsletter and nothing!

Thank you. For some reason, I forgot about that amazing "Get Deal" button. It does come in handy sometimes though!

Thanks OP

This is actually pretty great if you live in London, which I do I wonder if the card will be here in time

And then I realised it's out of stock

they stopped the purecards when they are going bust so I lost all the points I'd gathered up, so will I be able to get my old account and balance back? I think not!

Link is dead, bit like HMV

Those **** haven't given back any reward points from when they nearly went bust, and now expect another sign up?! What a joke.

They are most like preparing to go bust again, I smell desperation lol...... I guess they want to **** us all over again (_;)

Not that I wish to defend what happened to the reward points, but HMV were as close to bankrupt as you get, but were BOUGHT by a third party. Its surely not surprising that the third party didn't decide to reinstate the reward points earned - that almost never happens in these situations.

I'm pleasantly surprised that stores are still open on the high street under the HMV name to be honest.

It still asked me for payment?

what are 10000 points worth then?

Not working, still says £3 using the "get deal button"

YAY IT WORKED THE SECOND TIME LOL

Well you need 20,000 points for a stupid t-shirt in small size or 10,000 can get you a song from someone you probably have not heard off not really worth the hassle.

hmv won't last. surprised it's lasted as long as it has. only question will it go into liquidation this Xmas or the next one?

Link no longer working

They want phone no and all sorts. What marketing guff do you get if you register once the card arrives? Do you have to pay for texts and can you stop these without ending the card agreement?
