Hi all.

We were in our local hungry horse at the weekend for one of their deserts and I noticed on the bottom of the receipt it had 25% off my next purchase of food. I asked and you buy any food item to get the voucher, and then spend that voucher on any food order after that for the discount. She didn't think there was a limit on how much you could spend. It does expire in 5 days from the original purchase.

You can eve use the voucher combined with their usual weekly and daily offers

I know these pubs aren't exactly gourmet, but I've not had a bad experience one yet, and always have a good time.

I ate in one 2 weeks ago and had the 20oz steak. Good steak, well cooked and great price and i did not have the discount voucher.

I'm not sure when it started. Get back down there, order and pay for a starter, then go back up and order another steak. 25% off. Thanks very much.

Hi. We ate in one last week and on the receipt it says valid from 'tomorrow' until... So looks like its for a return visit only and cannot be used on the same day. Heat added, good deal though.

ate in one of these yesterday and got this valid from today until Wednesday so not long..!

Basically, a plate of peas and sweetcorn.

Was here last week ordered double burger! chewy and overcooked! but prices are good!

Hate to sound like a troll, but one could argue that you forgot the quotes around 'food'.
Last time I at one of these places, the middle of my shepherds pie was still a solid lump of ice as it had not spent long enough in the microwave.

I know where you are coming from, but can I just say you are basing this deal solely on one meal from one pub in a large chain. As it stands I have never had a single bad meal from my local HH, always good value and cooked well.

I agree with crazygoog and mattmerch. Never had a bad time in a HH. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. I've had bad meals in other places, but have usually gone back to try them again. Can't form an accurate opinion on 1 experience.

The one I go to did this a month or so ago for a week, then stopped them. It may be up to the owners when they wish to run the promotion. The one in Rochester, Kent, is currently not giving them out (or at least not on my receipts) any more

I went to one a couple of weeks ago was in there 2 n half hours, only ordered a main and a dessert, when I had left I still hadn't received my dessert, so gave them back their 25% off receipt! x also on the back of our receipt they had put their names of who served them, and the person who served had the most people return by the end of the week got £50. wonder if that's the same in all HH? p.s. my main meal was fab had the gammon.

Is it just me who confuses Hungry House with Hungry Horse?

1 meal doesn't constitute as numerous 'experiences'

Had a nice frozen chicken breast on my last visit down burnam way

Go into my local (Llanelli) for a beer; never eaten in there since I saw a lady send her burger back as it was frozen. I mean, how can you mess cooking a burger up??....

You must be ordering the wrong dish, then. We often use Hungry Horse - cheap and cheerful, rarely disappointed. Friendly young staff.

It's a budget chain, so why expect gourmet cuisine?

you can get 25% off from voucher codes app. don't need to bother paying full price first time round
