About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
It is possible to get an annual pass to Deezer for around £23 a year via the services Brazilian Website, by jumping through one or hoops, but on the whole very straight forward.
Download a free VPN to your phone like "AntiVira Phantom" which gives you 1GB of usage per month and set location to Brazil.

Open your web browser and go to Deezer.com and should by default take you to the Brazilian website. You can change the language to English in the top right corner of the webpage if it opens in Brazilian.
Sign up for a "free" account with Deezer or sign in if already a user (can use your UK log in details). Once signed, it will then ask you to buy a plan, at the top of the page is offers the monthly services, scroll down to "Annual Plan" and select "Subscribe".
It will then offer you "Deezer Premium" for R$ 169 for the year, which based on today's exchange rate is about £22.94.

Unfortunately they do not offer the family or HiFI package on the annual pass.
Try to use a debit card which doesn't charge for foreign transactions, or they also offer PayPal which i think their fees are very low at around 20-30p.
Once signed up and made payment, download the Deezer App and enjoy as normal. You now no longer need to use the VPN...
I did notice initially after downloading the Deezer App, it did give me a lot of recommendations for popular Brazilian music, but had no problems searching for any other music and after a week only made recommendations for music I like. Also all my existing playlists worked with no issue.
Deezer also works great on Amazon Alexa devices and no I don't need to speak to Alexa in Brazilian/,Portuguese to request music!
Only word of caution, after the 12 months is up, it signs you up to the monthly pass, and Deezer seemed to recognise I was in the UK and after the 12 months, wanted to charge me the £9.99 a monthly fee. So simply cancelled the service and to not renew after the pass expired and I just went and purchased a new Brazilian 12 month pass!

But from what I could see Turkey doesn't offer the the Annual Pass, and I don't really want the hassle of a monthly payment coming out in a foreign currency every month, by doing it the way I suggested, this is just a one off transaction for the year.
By paying monthly, you run the risk of them detecting you're back in the UK and charging you the UK price of £9.99 a month.
Yes, it's much cheaper - £16.31.
However, I've just tried a regular UK debit card and I get "You've attempted to subscribe to a plan using a payment method from a different country.Don't worry, your payment has not yet been finalized".
I'm going to see if the Brazil option does indeed offer Paypal as a payment.
#edit
And I get the same trying to pay for yearly in Brazil using Paypal.
I suspect this deal isn't possible using a UK-based payment method and I can't really be arsed to set up a brazilian paypal account. (edited)
It will no difference to the artists if you pay uk prices for a subscription or Brazilian.
You can go online and generate the code! I've done it and got a green tick for the code but it won't accept my debit card number or PayPal!
No not at all, used my same email address.
The price being offered isn't as such a one time offer, it is just the price being offered in Brazil and I think over time they detect your location by using the App and just want to charge you the fee where you are based when up for renewal.
I can't set this up either. I get the same message as you. Tried PayPal and credit card.
Do you know how to get around the message? "You've attempted to subscribe to a plan using a payment method from a different country.Don't worry, your payment has not yet been finalized".
I'm sorry Im not sure...
I signed up 2-3 weeks ago and worked fine.
Never got that message.
What payment method did you use ?
If it’s anything like YouTube Music via India then you’ll undoubtedly see some Brazilian content but if you search for and play the stuff you like, as well as following the artist and group selection bubbles at the start, then the amount of localised content will be minimal
It might work for Deezer but Spotify stopped PayPal as a payment method a long time ago
Cheers
Do not scam artists and music industry. Soon there may be no new music left as artists are already struggling and Covid killed income from gigging. We may not have any new music if we don't support artists. If you can't afford to have a subscription listen to radio.
Not quite. I use streaming for discovery and then buy music, if possible directly (using Bandcamp for instance). Even if artists get little from streaming it's still money they should get.
Also music industry isn't artists alone it's everyone from sound engineers, producers to instrument manufacturers and roadies. £23 buys you a set of strings that will last a few weeks.
I'll repeat if you want to continue to listen to music and music matters to you pay for it.
Interesting, as they still keep charging me every month and I still have both - Spotify and Deezer subscriptions.
Oh it’ll be fine if you created the accounts before they stopped it but for any new signups now it isn’t an option (edited)
Same as this. Works a treat
Barry and Lola might pop along too.
I'm having the same issue! Did you resolve it?
As far as I'm aware the record companies get more revenue based on the monthly price. As they get a set fee per a stream, the fee will be much higher in more developed countries such as the UK over countries such as Brazil.
No mate, I couldn't. I gave up now.
