love this idea!! shame im too old but ill have to remember to check for it in 5 yrs time for the wee one

Not sure students sharing answers with other students is a good idea; it'll just result in copying of answers, not sharing of wisdom.
That said, the quality of some of the answers would indicate there are teachers (or at least far more qualified students) behind some of the replies.

No, it's not sharing answers because the person how has given you an answer will also have to show a step-by-step method on how their solved the question.

You need points to ask a question...? Google have missed a trick here! *Rolls Eyes* What's the point of Brainly? Not the best marketing (you don't need points it seems, I've just posed a question), but what's up with what works... Google your question, there are thousands of explanations and answers out there?

EDIT: What the hell, I'll download the app and see how it goes with my son's new term.

Android here.

Toy Phone here.

Nice idea in theory, in practice it is amazing how many of the questions you can cut and paste into google and find out the answer. Guess they just do not teach anyone initiative these days.

Maybe you want to cross reference your answer to make sure it's 100% right. Maybe Google doesn't have the right answer as it can be outdated.

So effectively, cross referencing one person's answer against another....both in theory could be wrong. Google after all is a search engine pulling up website results from your search criteria. A person's answer on 'Brainy' could equally be incorrect or out of date.

Unlikely to be out of date, lots of people can post their answers on 'Brainy', so there is competition to get it right. I myself have tried looking on Google in the past for Maths and English problems. Apart from looking on other forums like the student room, I couldn't not find recent solutions that would show me working out and quicker efficient methods. If anything they confused me more.
I would have to calculate the answer, then somehow find out how they did worked it out.

So from my point of view this is a brilliant website.
