Or not.....

£37.41 for a PC game is a deal now?

Exactly what I thought

Humble subscribers can buy the Steam version for £36 with their 10% store discount.
Waiting for reviews on this one (though I did post a £31 pre-order a few weeks ago).

Have a decent PC but I'm always a little dubious of cheaters etc on the PC ruining games.

release > reviews dent the hype > price comes down to meet demand

^ what should happen by September. the fact that all preorders are above £40 for ps4 makes me a little suspicious

This was never going to be a 15 quid experience. Just because they're an indie studio doesn't mean the games they ship should be cheap. Didn't see people saying Destiny/The Witcher 3 should have been 15 quid at launch, and their devs are independent

It's a single player game, so any cheaters that do exist aren't going to effect you.

Apart from the slight possibility of you reaching anything they've already discovered, and finding everything is called things like MyLongWang or BiteMyShinyMetalAss. Unlikely, but it could be mildly annoying. Of course, you can avoid this entirely by playing offline.:)

It's not a single player game. It's all connected online. Was worried about people finding ways to name stuff etc that they haven't been to etc.

even with a higher possibility of cheating on PC, I couldn't buy a game on a console over PC. that aside, this dev is delaying the PC version a few days after the ps4 version. so **** these guys.

There's no interaction between players, there are 19 billion (or some such) planets to explore and everyone starts on a random on, you're unlikely to ever see any evidence of another player, it's effectively single player, if you really bothered play it in offline mode.

Been playing this for hours, as long as you know what to expect and dont think it's an action game, you cant go wrong, Really addictive and epic

I can't see why anyone would pick this over Elite Dangerous (not that E:D is that great either).

The planet generator has no complexity to it; just random topology sewn together and sprinkled with doodads & points of interest. Their procedural generation doesn't simulate astronomical, geological or biological systems, it's just a bland, incoherent, pointless sandbox with no danger or challenge to it.

For all its faults, at least E:D attempts to create a realistic, living, breathing world with backstory & political elements.

Looking at it from a different angle, in terms of sandbox complexity & engrossment a hand-tailored world such as Skyrim or Witcher 3 offers far more variety & engagement.
This game has been enormously over-hyped.

This will crash in price very soon after release.

And play Elite dangerous only until Star Citizen is released- that will be the daddy of all these games. Star Citizen is more fun that Elite and doesn't look cartoonish like this. Although when the price drops I think I still have room to through at this game.

The game is on gog so no denovo if you get my drift. Gog is drm free if you get my drift

Consider yourself lucky

This game is not worth anything above £15. please don't waste your money! It is very much an indie game and not a AAA title. if you are expecting that you will be very disappointed!
