Great price for a decent film.
For info it’s on Sky TV on demand if anyone didn’t know.
Most overrated and overhyped film I’ve seen for years. Load of tosh
Really enjoyed this film, not surprising given how great all the reviews are.

Unfortunately because of it's success it's now fashionable to hate it. The same people also seem to 'hate' Black Panther. Strange

Thought the first hour was pretty great, very tense and unnerving, then the last half hour and "the twist" happened and I thought it was pretty awful. Saw it after it received it's Oscar nominations, including one for best screenplay (edit - which it won), and couldn't believe it had been as highly praised as it was.

Or Moonlight.

Seriously though, I think it's a stretch and probably quite insulting to those in question to suggest that someone who dislikes this film, or even another with a black lead/predominantly black cast, is necessarily racist (which is the angle I'm detecting, forgive me if I'm wrong). That accusation (which is actually, in my view, quite a grave one) is bandied around way too much, just like 'misogynist' or (insert group identity here)-phobic.

I enjoyed this film. Knew very little about it before watching it last year so didn't see the twist coming. Thought it was interesting, well-written/acted and satisfying.

I wouldn't say it's hopping on the hate bandwagon, I would say it was more of a 'U 4 real brah?!?'
Decent price but sadly a awful movie very overated imo.
Fairly enjoyable, but it just felt like an average episode of Black Mirror to me.
Once the twist happens it loses momentum but it's still fun. Try Ash Vs the Evil Dead for stupid horror fun...
It was on NowTV i will watch it on the weekend and give my review afterwards

I agree with your summary of the film - which is why I genuinely cannot fathom when people say things along the lines of 'absolute tosh' or 'worst film I've ever seen'. Not everyone has to like it, we're all entitled to opinion - and I can understand why people might deem it overrated, given it's level of success. However, when people make such ridiculous claims it smacks that their issues are not with the quality of the film itself, but something more political.

All 'IMO' of course.

To be fair, the entire film had a budget of $4.5 million, which is only about $1 million more than the average S3/S4 Black Mirror episode.
Nothing to do with being a racist, just a crap film and not worthy of the hype.
Quite enjoyed it but don't think it's a film I'd watch more than once...maybe twice at a push.Voted hot still though.
This film is brilliant and very smart.

Very metaphoric and artsy, if you want jump scares then look elsewhere!

Colour of skin shouldn’t dictate job, award, recognition or anything else. We are turning into a society of positive discriminates which is as bad as what used to go on (should never have gone on and hopefully is pretty much in the past now) but let’s keep things neutral and base it on ability only.pendulum swinging the other way doesn’t make history more acceptable. Let’s get it balanced right in the middle

I don't think you read their comment correctly.

I opinionated on this film purely on the films storyline, acting and overall creation of which I didn’t like. It’s a personal opinion and no relevance to anybody else I get that.blakc panther is awesome for the record

It wasn't a dig at you, but you do seem defensive. Also the notion that positive discrimination is 'just as bad as what used to go on' - is ridiculous, you know people were deemed worthless and forced into slavery/killed just because of their skin colour, right? Please explain how positive discrimination could ever be 'just as bad' or that the pendulum has swung 'too far the other way'. Nonsensical claims based on absolutely zero substance.

FTR - I agree with meritocracy.
STAY WOKE!!!!

What the absolute toss does that have to do with what I wrote?
Decent movie. Worth watching.

Not true

They are just bad movies
Because the movies have black people doesn't mean every who dislikes is a racist

Atlanta is great (it's a TV Series, I look forward to seeing new episodes)
Get out is trash
Black Panther (haven't watched it but looks Mediocre, Just like many Marvel Movies now since we are tired of a similar movie every year)

I'd actually be more interested as to why people genuinely don't like this film as opposed to going on and on and on about how not racist they are.

I've never actually seen anyone claim you're a racist if you don't like this movie but I've seen hundreds of people claim that that's what happens if you say you don't like this or Black Panther. Funny that.
FYI its in the 5 for £30 deal Might be worth adding to the title

So chicken ('people who don't like this film are racist') or egg ('I don't like this film but I'm not racist')?

The first allusion to race is in Trane's comment near the start. I hope you'll agree that this *suggests* an association between dislike of films/TV that happen to have black people in them and racist undertones. There's your chicken.
I'm racist and I loved it!!!

Jokes btw

Saw this last night, I enjoyed it but that's just my opinion. My mate hated it and he's not even racist!!!

Jokes again

Anyhoo thanks for reading my review

Good day
Wehey, excellent. The hotukdeals reviewers are out in force, what would we all do without these experts to tell us whether a film is good or not, I mean there is nowhere else to get decent film reviews or opinions. Heat added because as far as I'm aware this is a good price for the film, rather than getting into subjective nonsense like whether I actually think its a good film (though I do).

Yeah that was average at best too and I was looking forward to that
