What do you think about the rumour that the next BIG set is in this picture?
Bugger. Just bought the Avengers Tower on Saturday. I guess I could see if I can return it and re-purchase it.

The largest set ever, so the rumours say. I bet the cancel squad will urge for it to be cancelled cause of all the fights in that building cause that's what sad people seemingly care about now cancelling stuff cause they don't like it. Personally can't wait to see it and maybe buy it.

Seems fitting to have colosseum and epic and lego all in the same sentence. If anyone got this set cancelled, it would be PETA, complaining about the poor Lions who were forced to eat christians back in the day.

When you do a dummy it says 1200 points and doesn't mention the base points. I suspect you only get 1200 points as they often do double VIP.

No, 1200 bonus points
The colours on this vary quite a bit, it suffers from light and dark shades of yellow, more noticeable on this than my other lego models, also some bricks show darker bricks through them as plastic not very thick and colour is very light.

It doesn't say bonus points though just 1200 points. I could understand it showing 600 points on the checkout page and then they add the 1200 later. For it to show 1200 I suspect that's all you get as I wouldn't have thought it would post the base points separtely.

Yes I know that and anyone thinking of buying should screen grab it. However why does it show 1200 when you put it in the basket not the usual 600 or 1800 as the correct points.

You’d have to ask Lego that one, I’m merely pointing out the offer is 1800 points not 1200
Thank you OP.. ordered

I’m finding this problem on various sets.

seems to impact white bricks too which come in a variety of shades.

quality definitely taken a hit.

also disappointing how many larger sets use lots of little pieces size by side when a larger single piece of the same style exists. You lose strength and cynically it’s a way of boosting the piece count.

I first noticed this on the VW beetle door panels a few years back, so many little blue blocks when larger ones would have been better.

1200 point in total NOT 1200 plus 600! OP please amend posting!
Unfortunately it's 1200 points total and not an extra 1200 points. Whenever I've ordered something with extra points the order page shows the total points I will receive, which here shows 1200. I agree that it hasn't been worded correctly with how the offer is actually being applied.

The colours on Lego bricks are all over the place recently. My Mini Cooper has about 3 different shades of green now. Never been left in direct sunlight. Don't get me started on the quality of the bricks either, VW Camper van has so many cracked bits.

I know, I've already had 2 orders of bits for my Camper Van set, now need to put in a third. The set though is still one of my favourites, especially as my white has now gone a cream colour like a real camper

this was the post i read, and i pointed out you were wrong

Can you actually read?
If you think the colour match on this is bad, try the new Technic Lambo! I was hoping to build mine, but the shades of green were so all over the place that I had to simply return it. There is more information in reviews and forums which state how bad LEGO's colour matching has been recently. At least LEPIN's colours were consistent! The problem is that LEGO produce their bricks for large sets in several factories at once and then assemble and box them at a single location. With all the different moulds required, one factory cannot produce all the bricks required for such a large set.

As an example, look at set 76895 (Ferrari F8) and you'll see "Components made in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, China and Czech Republic" on the box. The seal code states where it is BOXED, not made!

I just can't help thinking that China could be the bad apple in this process.

Yes! I'm glad somebody else said it. Thought I was just grumpy . I can understand sometimes it makes interesting detail or greebling-ish but have noticed some completely unnecessary use of little pieces to replace a bigger brick which just makes the build weaker and brings out the cynic in me. Like you say....piece/brick count?

Ah, seems like its 1200 VIPs total and not 1200 bonus on top of the 600. I do apologies for misleading there just what i read on their site, tbh could have been worded better.

Editing the post to reflect that
Everyone saying it’s 1200 and just double vip points - the t&c’s state: VIP Double Points Offer applies to items 76160 and 76166 only.

As this Fiat set is neither of those numbers I think we can assume it’s not just double VIP points.

Now updated it to what I think the offer actually is, not 1200 plus 600 but just 1200 points, so basically 2x points. Do wish LEGO would word the offer bit better.

On another note just seen two more offers for VIP members. They can now buy two retired sets

LEGO Star Wars 75144 Snowspeeder £169.99 lego.com/en-…80I

LEGO Ideas 21315 Pop-Up Book £59.99 lego.com/en-…Z7Z

You weren't reading my posts as I'm well aware it says 1200 "BONUS" points, however it is showing as 1200 points in the basket so you're likely to only get 1200 points and probably have to argue for the extra 600. I could understand it showing as 600 in the basket since that is the base points and perhaps the "BONUS" 1200 will be added later. So either the splash screen is wrong or the points aren't allocated correctly.

Hmmm. Whilst China maybe guilty of some grievous Lego crimes, is it PERHAPS unfair to single China from those list of countries in this example ? After all, where does Lepin come from?!

You'll get a total of 1200 points, the order summary page always shows the total you'll receive after taking into account any offers and it shows 1200 points. The wording of the offer is not consistent with what you actually receive hence the confusion, strictly speaking the wording implies you should receive a total of 1800 points but you'd have to fight for the extra 600 points with customer services.
