Thanks OP, didn't know about this!
nice to get 3 pokemon with it
Cool. Free pokemon is always welcome. Well not 'free' but Pokemon Bank is something any serious pokemon gamer should use
I truly and honestly don't see how Nintendo gets away with their pricing. All your Pokemon info might take about 1MB of their storage and they charge 5£ a year for it. When you can hardly find a company offering less than 10GB cloud storage for free and in reality you are not going to spend more bandwidth with them than on a cloud. This really should be included in the price of the games...

I mean sure, they make good games but in reality a modern smartphone at about 200£ is easily more powerful than 3ds and far more versatile. It's like game consoles vs pcs with the exception that proper gaming pcs are more expensive than consoles...

I am a fan of Pokemon but honestly I don't think Nintendo offers value for money for a long time now...

Controls suck for video games on smartphones though.

+1. nothing beats a decent controller. mobile phone gaming is a nightmare if it gets any more complex than solitare or candy crush.. which isn't reaaaaaally gaming imo.

What a pathetic rambling rant over £5 per year for something you obviously don't want to use.

Wrong, I would like to use it, I am a big fan of pokemon but will never pay for something like this.

I just don't appreciate being milked for cash because I am a fan of what they are doing.

I am happy to pay 20£ per game because there was actual work put into it. I am happy to pay too much for the underpowered hardware they are selling, because it works well and is good enough for their games (and I don't really have a choice if I want to play their games).

"Pokemon bank" on the other hand takes 15 minutes to implement assuming you have a server and it takes so little resources that I would probably be able to run it of my pc at home. (Ok I presume they paid for something a tad bit more stable and faster but still I doubt their expenses are over 10000£ and maintenance is virtually free when you compare the numbers.)

It really depends, I played Pokemon Black 2 on my android and it worked and looked miles better than it does on the ds. I agree some games have s*** controls but some do it absolutely well, say racing games using accelerometer are awesome and way better than racing with the stick. Also say monument valler and Horn have really good on screen control system.
I don't know if you understand business. Or consumerism. Or how you saying 'I pirated Pokemon Black 2 and it was great' can possibly be a negative thing. You're not entitled to free stuff because you've made the effort to play some Pokemon games before. You're not entitled to free stuff, you're not entitled to steal games because you don't think they're worth the money.

So a game designed and made bespokely for the Nintendo DS looked better on an emulator on a phone? Seems legit.
Great, can't seem to get this to work though. Got Pokemon Bank for the year, and Pokemon Y, but not picking anything up.
