It is a very 70s, borderline late 60s, race car which was an eclectic mix of relatively boxy or very slippery and sleek vehicles I think. Like you I wasn't sure or fond of this model, but having built it just a moment ago, it's a lot better in person than the pictures show.

The pictures, like a lot of other sets in the past few years, don't do good justice of showing the model off well. I also realised there is no side profile view of this car on the box, which is a glaring miss cos its side profile looks brilliant. 47114034-KnLKU.jpg
I will say though, the printing is the worst here of the singular Speed Champions cars as the red printing on the side of the headlights and the canopy is mismatched because of the darker transparent pieces messing the shading up. Might be better to replace the side tiles for solid red ones; although the headlights will be narrower from that solution, it still looks pretty good.

I would have but IWOOT are just to unreliable. Had to have 3 refunds after waiting and waiting for Lego sets to turn up. Never have anything in stock despite saying they do!

They are full of the brown stuff.

Same group as Zavvi aren't they? I'd imagine they will be poor at fulfilling orders in the same way

I generally really like the Speed Champions sets, but IMHO that Ferrari is hot garbage. 😁
