Complete opposite for me. I'm on the 200 service, speed test is nigh on always 206 down.

No caps, no throttling, it's great. I downloaded a 45 GB update for Halo 5 on the weekend, can't say exactly how long it took but it had finished by the time I'd watched the football!

Virgin OMG tv is horrendous

I just got sky Q 2tb box with 1 mini box with the full bundle for 35 a month

Just upgraded from "up to 100Mb" to "up to 150Mb", which required a new Superhub router. This is dual band so offers connection to 5GHz or 2.4GHz. As the 5GHz is less congested Wifi dl speeds are pretty good at 100Mb+ on my IPhone. Wired speeds were previously bang on at 100Mb to a laptop, so absolutely no complaints from me at the moment. That said, VM customer services can be poor at times, but can't they all? There are known issues with the TIVO boxes at the moment which VM are trying to resolve.

Fortunately my contract ends soon, so I'll probably go back to Sky and get their new customer discounts. The fast broadband was pretty much the only incentive to choose Virgin over Sky, as the TV service is far inferior, but now even that's gone downhill from what I was getting a year ago.

If you only get 4meg peak time u been downloading to much as on traffic management or there is Ubr issu but sounds like traffic management

As much as it pains me to praise virgin but at the moment they out class everyone for Internet service can't wait wait until sky push out there ultra fibre optic which is been tried in York at the moment. We stayed in a hotel and they are trialing it for them and pushing 700mbps which is amazing Your text here

Surely you should be living in the woods.. Not bad then to get upto 4MB

I rang Virgin a couple of weeks ago to complain about the price hike and painfully slow Tivo box and they offered me a new package with more benefits for the same i was paying before the price hike. Tivo is still slow though but she did say the new 4k box is being rolled out just after christmas and is very quick and much more user friendly interface especially compared to Tivo. My new package consists of..............

You are lucky you are in an non 'utilised' (Virgin speak: read contention) area. If you are, you are shafted.
And yes there is throttling for everyone apparently if you download or upload too much- read about it on Virgin's site. Whether they only apply it discriminately where there is 'utilisation' I haven't worked out yet.
