Get Wuntu App on Any Network

So seeing as there are some great deals on the Wuntu app atm I decided to see if there was a way I could make it work on my phone which is on EE.

I came across this guide whilst searching Google and thought I would share it with all the lovely folks here at hukd! Credit for this guide goes to Save the Student website.
The app is exclusive to Three customers, but with this sneaky trick you could keep your normal phone network, AND make the most of all these great freebies.

How to get the app:

  • First of all click deal and request a free PAYG sim (free sim link is under the “shop” category).
  • Once it arrives, pop it into your unlocked phone and connect to wifi.
  • Download the Wuntu app from apple or play store.
  • Open the app and click an offer to make sure you're registered. It's worth trying out an offer you don't actually want just to double check.
  • Put your normal sim card back into the phone, the app should still work!

If it doesn't work you may need to unlock your phone

It's worth holding onto the SIM card as the app occasionally needs to re-register after an update.

(Now let's hope my sim arrives before all those Xbox codes disappear as I'm eager to try Sea of thieves)

Do the same with O2 Priority

Is that right? I'll have to take a look into that next. Cheers!
Its certainly a new way of exploiting Wuntu for heat!! Usually done a day before, not after!

But no point because come next Wed, every point u covered in full detail will be asked 300 times during the Wuntu Freebies Thread...like it is EVERY WEEK.

Not new, but didn't know this so cheers for the heads up, now back to my rock I've been hiding under!
This is why we can’t have nice things, anyone remember the £1 Monday lunch?

Fwiw, have gone on to Smarty (runs from 3 network) and Wuntu works fine without any faffing 😁
I couldn't even get this registered on a phone that actually had a three sim with credit on it! It just kept saying needed turn off wi-fi. Rubbish.
'Sneaky trick' i think three probably know. Its the same for the o2 app as well. Hardly sneeky is it. Why do people sensationalise everything all the time
cold from me for any network message

Sounds like you were trying the three app not Wuntu.
I did this and worked no problem. No need to put any credit on 3 SIM either. If you need to take advantage of offer before codes run out just go and buy a SIM from somewhere like Poundland, B&M etc for £1 (or less)
Can't you just sideload the apk?
Thanx maverick77. Heat added.
I didn't know you could do this and get wuntu app then swap back !
Free SIM ordered.....now i just need to do the tricky bit
Bit off topic but what is the code available for Sea of Thieves? Access to the beta?
Thanks
I’m trying this .. thanks

No - I believe app needs to register on network, hence the message someone got “turn off WiFi”.

The app needs to verify the THREE SIM before it can work and only using the mobile data.
I can't believe I didn't think of doing this before. Ordered sim. Thanks.

I did download wuntu and could see the offers but said it needed to be registered.
I have Wuntu and have yet to see a reason to use it.
Just be aware of @AW0079 he likes to steal all the freebies
Lool this isn't hard to figure out, im a three customer and ordered a free o2 sim to use o2 priority
