Anyone who like me struggled to lose weight then I cannot recommend Intermittent Fasting 16:8 method enough. Its honestly changed my life ! It is so sustainable long term as its a way of eating rather than i diet. Ive been doing it now continuously for over 6 years.

I could go on forever about the benefits including reducing ageing and helping to fight chronic deseaces. I have a Facebook group called "Intermittent Fasting Lifestyle" where you can learn more and where we talk about all things IF helping and supporting each other.

If only. There are over 50 processes in the human body that control respiration and fat stores. This outdated 80s simplicity is toxic.
Genetics and environment plays much more role than 'self-control'.

If it was that easy, we'd all be slipping into 26" jeans.
This looks interesting. I definitely need to read and heed these books.

Fast for 16 hours and then have an 8 hour eating window. This is done daily. Mores sustainable long term this way I find and give more health benefits. I have an eating window from 11am to 7pm. Its basically missing breakfast and not eating really late at night

I have a diet called 'Calories in Calories out'
The principle is you eat the amount you are willing to burn off. As an example if you eat a McDonald's meal say 1500 calories you need to run 10 miles to burn it off.
No need for sarcasm, I know all about calories in vs calories out. I swim three miles a week and walk at least a mile every day

My "eating plan" not diet improves Immune regulation, increases fat burning ability, stimulates cellular autophagy(anti-ageing), improves genetic repair mechanisms, improves insulin sensitivity, improves chronic diseases. Don't think your Mcdonald's will do that. Its not always about calories in versus calories out. The process of fasting is where this sets itself apart.
For anyone wanting to lose weight, download and use the MyFitnessPal app. Log your calories, make sure you’re in a calorific deficit, you’ll lose weight. No need for fad diets or any other ‘guaranteed’ plans. It’s about having the willpower to eat well and be in calorific deficit. If you really want to lose weight, you will!

If I didn't eat for 16 hours I'd kill someone. Personally what works/has worked for me is having a large breakfast early in the morning, usually consisting of high quality protein like eggs, beans with wholegrain bread and bacon (yes bacon). I then have a relatively light lunch and ensure my evening meal after I work out is balanced. I then exercise 4-5 times a week - sessions include weights that focus on compound movements to work as many muscle groups as possible and high intensity interval training mixed in with low-level but protracted cardio. Oh and don't drink a lot of alcohol. If you do that consistently you'll lose weight.
