"The subscription is for a Minimum term 12 issues"
you just cancel after that

Meh, I always forget to cancel. I'm still getting Maxim delivered 18 months after signing up for 3 issues for a quid. It's mostly read by my housemate, and she then passes critical opinion on the women within.

Hmmmm.

Each to their own. I personally won't risk it as altough it says minimum subscription 12 issues, it does also state that it's for direct debit subscriptions and these have to be bought individually and minimum subscription term is 12 months.

Godd luck to those who go for it. I hope you get them hassle free.

i dont get why it says minimum subscription is 12 months
direct debits can be cancelled anytime

i never even saw that bit when i ordered
you sure thats not just for the 12 month sunscription?

you'll be fine if you cancel your direct debit before they try to take the next payment which is in three month time

I've gone for this....you pay £10 for the first 12 months and then £17.50 every 3 months. You cancel after the first 12 months and thats it!
Mark in your diaries when you have to cancel!

took a similar deal for nuts magazine
£3 for 5 issues and free copy of condemmed 2 for xbox 360
cancelled the direct debit after the £3 came off and still got the game
thanks OP. i'll be signing up for this offer to.

cool, fhm and empire doing same game for 16.99 similar terms (if you prefer the mags) on the same site.

ordered and hot

"The subscription is for a Minimum term 12 issues, we reserve the right to request the return of the free gift if this contract is broken. We reserve the right to exchange the gift in case of excessive demand. "

ie £10/#1-3m+ £17.50/#4-6m+ £17.50/7-9m + £17.50/10-12m = £62.50 with possibility/probability of receiving the game OR a substitute.

All sounds very 'iffy to me

Did a similar thing with the nintendo magazine and got tomb raider which worked out at £12 for 3 issues ,just save a copy of the web page for future ref and take advantage of the wording as minimum 12 issues for 10 pound and cancel as soon as the first payment comes out as they wont be trying for another payment for 3 months ,so hopefully the game will be withus all by then .

You just cancel after 12 issues, so it only works out at ten pound, as it says u can cancel after 12 copies in the terms and conditions, The subscription is for a Minimum term 12 issues If the worst come to the worst and no game which is doubtfull as it would be false advertising its still only a tenner, and direct debit would be cancelled so no more payments could go out

yeah minimum 12 issues but its weekly, so ten pound pays for them 12 issues and the game:-D

Just been on to the actual website and it contradicts itself

The £10 offer has the ** so relates to the above but the top of the page also states 12 issues ... So which is it ?

I always seem to get these free game gifts (crossed fingers) so hot, hot, hot from me

Gone for this, heat and rep added thanks!

Edited... ignore

Just joined to say thanks for this offer, I've signed up. Also thanks to LFC Muppet for pointing me here in the first place - cheers m8

your welcome, great place, enjoy your stay but read the rules ;-)

Just signed up for this, thanks!

Had to watch a few trailers of the game before deciding.

I'm getting a free review copy of this on the 360 straight from Atari, so I should have a review up hopefully before release. It looks really great.

Dont do it, I did a similar thing with Nuts, im still waiting for my gift.

i did a sub with FHM and eventually got the game (Assasins Creed 360 game) but it took a while so i cancelled my 12 month deal with them, they refunded me for all but one issue, but i did get the game.

to me £10 less quidco, so £9 for 12 issues is a good deal, its 75p each when they are double that in stores.

and if i do get the game, nice bonus.

Went for the FHM one myself, i shall wait and see

is no one reading the small print?

** Direct Debit purchases have to be bought individually and minimum subscription term is 12 months. Your basket contents will be kept safe for you while you set up your Direct Debit.

yes you can cancel the direct debit (via your bank) after the first 12 issues but then you get them ringing you and mailing you harrasing you for the the next 9 months of payment. If you dont pay they will send the debt collectors.

You seriously think they will give you a £39.99 game when they are making alot less? oh yeah maybe some people will still subscribe but no where near enough to pay for all the games.

the point of the offer is, for people who wanted to get nuts eventually anyway they get to get their first 12 issues for £7.50 cheaper and a free game to convince them to start getting it now, however you have to keep buying them for 12 months.

I have had a magazine subscription like this before via direct debit and thought I was allowed to cancel but then they kindly reminded me of

'** Direct Debit purchases have to be bought individually and minimum subscription term is 12 months. Your basket contents will be kept safe for you while you set up your Direct Debit.'

when I asked them why I had no option to cancel.

Seriosuly you would have to be mad to even try to do this. its not like they do not tell you, so expect to have them hound you for the rest of the money till you pay it.

The deal is for a 12 month contract with the first 3 months for a reduced rate of £10, it is like trying to cancel your mobile phone contract after 3 months.

I also got Condemned and The Club with the FHM deal they had so I've gone for this as well. Cheers OP

As with all direct debits, I will be cancelling it at the bank so they can't take any money from me even if they tried.

Just wondered can i only do one of these types of offers from the site as i was interested in this:

greatmagazines.co.uk/sto…=62

(FHM one with Baun shaver couldn't work out how to direct link it)

Another one of us has joined

Might give this one a miss, got condemned but I did pay the further subscription. Not even played the game though.

The 12 months bit might be what they use and say 12 issues was a mistake.

So I think this will be fine. Only 12 issues....
