Surprised these haven’t been banned in Scotland. Too big to fit in our jacket pockets.

Are we sure that Morrisons haven't just started employing really tiny people?

cold 8 -6£ cheaper when you buy separate single bottles, so not such a great deal, 13£ - 0.75 cl - tesco , iceland

No offence for those who buy it but these shouldn't be allowed to be sold …No offence for those who buy it but these shouldn't be allowed to be sold to general public. With people's lack of self control and binge drinking not Smart at all.

There's far too many people expect their hand holding as it is.

They need to get a grip of themselves and accept responsibility for their actions......

I'm a recovering alcoholic, but I don't whinge about alcohol causing me problems, it was my choice to drink, therefore my fault I became alcoholic.

Good deal OP (for those that don't want to wrap the world in cotton wool), voted hot

When the JD offer was on last year it was quite easy to sell a boxed empty bottle and cradle for £20+, so factor this in on a 4.5ltr and I reckon it's quite the deal. Even if you don't sell the bottle on, it's a great talking point and can be reused.

Also the JB works out at approx £10.89 for 70cl which is pretty good. The Jager and Disaronno deals don't seem as good.

But you could go and buy spirit in single bottles amounting to this rather large bottle of Jim beam . We can't stop selling large quantities of alcohol for those who "lack self control" ...those that want to drink , and want to drink loads will .

I'm not sure the bag for life could cope with that pressure

Costco are doing a 3lt JD £71 incVAT. I brought one the weekend...yes you can buy it cheaper buying 3 1lt bottles (£20 Sainsbury’s) but that bottles worth it!!

Not showing on the website so I’m guessing it’s on sale from Friday

Bought the Jim Beam this morning. My local Morrisons said they only had 8 in stock and weren't getting any more.

Also bought the 3 litre Jack Daniels last year for £50

How much can you get a 1l bottle of Jim beam for? It’s £23 in tesco and £20 in Morrisons and Asda and you’re getting 4 and a half litres for £70 and that’s dearer????

Still have my JD unused from last year lol

Disarrono is £11 for 50cl bottle in Sainsburys so this does work out a little cheaper for those who drink it often - I suppose the larger bottle is a good talking point gift though!

That’s a lot of plastic in the oceans, although I’m not sure how much you will care by the time you get to the end of the bottle!

I guess you would need that caddy, as there’s no way you’d be holding that bottle by the time you’re a third of the way through its contents!

Many in store not sure to chance it om way home or lunch

Wife just got the Jim Beam.. They weren't out on display and one staff actually told her that they didn't have any in. She then went to another member of staff who got one from the back but she was told that they were to be sold on Friday only as part of Black Friday.

I see your noble intentions but this type of thinking really is problematic for a number of reasons:

It isn't fair to ban this for people who do have self-control either - doing that is now infringing on the freedom of others because of those in society who lack the ability to manage themselves.

Down it! Down it! Down it!

"Whisky is not just for breakfast" as Anna Soubry says.

Thank you, got one in Cheadle Heath, Stockport. Christmas sorted, who needs turkey !
Not many left on display though.

Good deal on the Jim beam, £15.55 a litre.
