Morrisons will be selling giant Braeburn wonky apples instore over the next few weeks

The giant crop is a result of a late frost

Should average 450g per apple and will be sold in twinpacks for £1, photos below comparing normal size to the giant apple

Since the Apple is bigger than a pound coin it’s called “Giant” here?

Heat added..

I prefer "mutant"

I'll get some for my tall brother.

He's not really a Giant, only 6 foot 10!

"The giant crop is a result of a late frost humans mucking around with stuff"

Fixed it for you.

this should be called GMO fruits, right

I don’t doubt these apples are giant ( I have some in my fridge). However has the image been photoshopped as the staff members left hand looks huge (2nd photo) ?

Thanks. I saw these apples mentioned in the paper this morning.
I don't get why they have to package them and sell in a twin pack - why not just sell 'each'....

The normal size from 20 years ago versus what used to be sent to the juicers size they use now and call value or kids size ! Sadly so many times you get a big apple and it’s lost it’s crunch in the middle and very mealy. Cold from me .

But how do they taste though?

Cheers chichi

My experience with apples has invariably been "the bigger they are, the worse they taste".

What ? when did I say they could sell my apples ?
