Giant Lindor Ball - scanning in at just 1p @ Tesco instore

Found 1st Feb 2014
550g of yummy Lindor goodness, scanning in for just 1p at Tesco.

Found at the Tesco Extra in Spytty, Newport. Called my sister who found 3 at Tesco in Pontypridd (& cleaned them out) so assuming nationwide.

Both stores had them in the seasonal isle, located where all the ex Christmas stock was a couple of weeks ago.

Same as found here at Amazon: amazon.co.uk/Lin…80/
Will upload receipt as proof now.

Good luck!

Check on the highest shelf in the seasonal aisle. That's where staff hide the cheap items out of sight.

Thats a ridiculous price for the best chocolate in the world! Great find!

A habit I've been working hard on breaking, not as bad as I used to be.

Completely agree.

Saw these at £7.49 yesterday in Sainsbury's...allegedly "reduced". wonder if i'd get £7.48 back on each as a price match thingy??? (_;)

Worth a shot, you have my receipt as proof.

release the geese!

It’s interesting that from the EAN barcode, it transpires that Lindt and Sprüngli (UK) Ltd didn’t arrange the purchase of the block of barcode numbers for this particular product, it was done in Italy, no doubt by Lindt and Sprüngli SPA, and then used for a product that would then be packed and distributed here in the UK. If Lindt and Sprüngli (UK) had purchased the barcode block numbering themselves, here, it would begin with 50. Incidentally, this numbering scheme does not indicate country of origin of product, and doesn’t even indicate country of packaging. It simply indicates country in which the barcode block of numbers were bought.

Well, I found it interesting, anyway.

Why is a barcode so important? Sorry I am new to this

Bloody hell that's massive - half a kilo!

Wish I was still in the UK! Hahaha!

each item has a unique barcode so hopefully if we go INSTORE and find one with the same barcode it will be the same price!

Noooooo - it's got to the stage that I begrudge paying more than 1p for anything. I haven't eaten anything except Thorntons toffee for 5 days now. (yes, it was 1p ). But heat added, love Lindt.

Actually found items hidden in various shops behind other items, a couple cheap toy 1p items but mostly not 1p, i presume this was by staff!

Or customers waiting for dragons to go off duty, some staff don't care, some make it their mission to stop 1p items

You'll know when it's staff, I saw a woman go through the checkout with an overflowing trolley of only a couple of different types of 1p items and then I was stopped and had my few bits taken off me - I wonder which one of us was staff!

This is why most organisations disallow promotions from staff, because they can fiddle things, i.e. reduce items they want and then hide them from actual customers who may of paid full price for them

Wow - great find! Heat added. Hope I can find one too.

none in either stores near me...seasonal xmas apparently....yea right....staff have had them all :O

Can't blame the staff for taking advantage, there's got to be some perks for having to work in Tesco's

i used to think this, and it'd be fine if they operated honestly, but refusing sales and lying to customers faces to save deal items for themselves is disgraceful. i'm only going by what's said in these threads though, and on the flip side i can see how deal hunters hitting the tills with a trolley full of 1p items and nothing else is taking the pee and is going to be irritating for the staff, but i'd expect a certain level of professionalism from the staff at all levels.

Looking at that receipt (chocolate, coke, a lemon?) I can't help thinking that if this is what you're feeding your baby then you're definitely going to need those bibs oO

Yep, you're right. Diet coke, fruit & organic baby food, we must be terrible parents.

Sprouts and chocolates sick to death of them , i'm still trying to get through the kids chocolate !

SCRUMPTIOUS

I am not sure why but Tesco in Hampton Peterborough is really really mean, when they mark things down to clear, the mark down is really hardly worth mentioning.
Interestingly outside Tesco in Hampton Peterborough a survey was carried out recently and the one repeated comment was that the markdowns in this store were not enough.
I think Tesco need to seriously consider the profits they make and how much they would like to protect this, markdowns are not just about clearing goods they are about creating a good image out of a bad situation. clearance lines (stock that has only a day or two before it expires) should be discounted to really low prices.

Oooooh errrrrrr!!..... the words "giant balls" and putting them in me mouth oO .... made me giggle a little... ooooh I've such a dirty mind!!
Heat added x

Nice, I might drop by a Tesco tomorrow and hope none of you have been there first.
