Worth giving these a shout for the lower end double cut Gibsons.

Both guitars are very similar for the most part in terms of build.
The Junior Tribute is a single pickup model (P-90) and the special has a pair of P-90s with a 3 way switch (of course)

They come with a gigbag / free delivery

Having difficulty resisting this one. Hot.
In a punk band? Get the junior.

In anything else? Get the special.
Damn these are nice. One day...
I think the special is on DV247.com for £499 now. Even better deal

Without sounding like a design snob, if you know anything about design & aesthetics these are quite ugly looking guitars compered to a Les Paul or a PRS

I don't think that's down to knowledge, really. More personal preference.

That.

Stripped back Gibson, without the niceties of binding, finish etc.

Still a Gibson, and a pretty refined players Gibson at that.
Yeah I don't really like the looks of DC LP, but can't argue the price, it's quite amazing for a genuine Gibson, even if it's stripped down to the basics. If I played punk I would be all over these.
Just copped the special tribute, seems like a solid deal.
Yeah I got the special tribute in worn cherry from DV247. Looks and sounds great. Not quite as good as my Gibson Les Paul Traditional but for a different flavour with P90s a great guitar for the money.

Same, arrived today, great looking guitar.
Very tempted by a blue one...
I bit... Worst case scenario, I sell it for what I paid in a couple of months.

How was yours? My fret ends were quite sharp and the fingerboard isn’t flush on one side. Going to call them today.

It's my first ever guitar, really enjoying it though haha. Wouldn't really know how to tell if these details are off, but I saw excellent reviews for it and was looking for one

I think it’s really decent for the money and it’s a Gibson after all. Recommend to get a setup from a good guitar tech who will soften the fret edges and get it the intonation right and the neck playing like butter.

Fret Sprout is where the fret ends go slightly over the fretboard - being sharp if you run your fingers down the edge.

temperature and humidity can cause this during shipping, so its always advisable to get things set up by a professional or learn yourself on cheaper guitars.

intonation is whether length of strings are correct... so you play a note low on the neck and it sounds fine but the same note higher up rather than being the same note sounds sharp or flat. its basically adjusting the bridge and using a tuner to get it right - youtube is your friend here
