Phone is 99 pound but I think you have to pay for the goody bag a minimal off 10 pound to get the phone, giffgaff phones come unlocked it's the cheapest price I've seen no flagship phone but seems as bit different.

Seems like good value for something half-decent that's available in the UK (so excluding Chinese phones that have better specs but with little/no support, missing band 20, take weeks to arrive and/or get slapped with a customs charge).

Specs look a bit poo, but the modular backs are interesting:

Not sure what I make of this one. If it was about half this price I might buy one for fun I guess,

As MSK noted, poor spec for the money. Vodafone Blade A512 looks like a better bet if you require UK support (2 year warranty) for the same price (as Vodafone upped from £75 to £79 to £99) assuming you are forced to buy £10 top up (ask nicely if you don't want it - works sometimes).
If you can cope with the possibility of no warranty the Xiaomi Redmi 4X or Redmi Note 4 is a much better spec for similar money.
16gb / 2gb or 32/3gb?
A moped thiefs dream this is. They will see you a mile off!

That review made me want one - love the idea of modular phones. Wonder how well it's supported.
Would the £40 quico work with this? quidco.com/gif…-MS

I can't see why it wouldn't, would definitely be worth a punt with £40 off this already half-good price.

I can't work out if it's the £5 or the £40 one.

Think I will give it a punt with quidco - I'll report back what it (if it does) track at.
Mediatek, crap battery.

Far better out there for similar money, and I don't mean crap from gearbest etc

Ray Von !
Interesting ideas. If they put a snapdragon processor and 3gb of ram in it, I'd buy it.
I bit. Went via quidco so will let you know if/when it tracks. If quidco does go through at £40 then it seems a bargain for a £69 phone.

Edit: it tracked within an hour for £5 but states "Purchases from this retailer may initially track lower than expected. Don't worry, the cashback amount will be updated before it's confirmed."

Should also note, when you click on the £40 link it's the 2nd phone advertised in it's default listing so I'm 70% confident the £40 will come through.

I've got a mediatek processor in my Chinese phone. It's no slower than any phone I've owned previously.

The battery however. 2,100 mah.

I had a Nokia 3220 many years ago which has modular backs.
It seemed great and they promised lots of different shells but in the end they only made 1-with LEDs on the back (although you could use it for waving your drink order to someone at the bar)

I bought at £79 for a friend, top up waived too.
