I think you have to pay 10/month for that.

The drawbacks I've found with this service are:
1) unlike 3, it's not 1gig or 1 month, whichever expires first; it's data AND time, so if you use your data up before the month ends you can't renew before the month ends. In the meantime it's 2p/MB.
2) the internet comes via the O2 network (like all Giffgaff) and is therefore subject to image compression, which make some web pages look bad, and services like Flickr practically unusable. There are some circumventions but they need technical jiggery-pokery.

Having said that I use it, and for me it's faster than 3 albeit slightly more expensive than buying 3GB/3 month cards from eBay or Amazon .

Horses for courses. This service is for tablets and dongles, not phones.

The 3 deal is great if you want a contract. I don't.

The signal thing keeps cropping up in comments here. As I said, my O2 signal is better than Three's. You have a different experience because you don't live where I live. How does that help anyone else decide?
I'd recommend trying a PAYG SIM from a provider before committing to a contract.

I get 15GB mobile broadband from 3 for £15 a month.

PAYG? Where?
