Seems like a decent bargain if you need to boost that old laptop and give it a new lease of life!

Great price. In my opinion you are better off with a 240GB drive now that they're breaking below £30, much better value and a decent size for an OS drive.

This. It's perfect. IDE, 32GB, 162mb/s read rate!
Also probably the 'best price' for me since the MyMemory deals are VAT exempt. Anyway, bargain all the same.
They really should have written 120 above their brand name
Ordered ... handy to back up my whole laptop

Nope. They just copied the "design".
Has the VISA cashback offer (£5) finished now?

Samsung won't allow that, they have the best SSD in the market. Consumer level.

Would this work in a desktop?
Everyone could do with adding this if they don’t already have an SSD

Can do but check your hard drive connections or if you have extra connectors for additional hard drive..

I have added as 2nd Hard drive my Cooler master desktop..

Any links? Just bought a Kingston for £35 from Amazon earlier today, the WD would have been the same price. Thanks
Are these anygood instead of usb sticks in the car?
Stick with the Integral 5 SSD, it's tried and tested.

You're better off spending the extra £4-5 on a branded one but still very cheap!
Fab price to get any laptop, netbook or desktop speedy again!!

If only Gigabyte, put a little effort into marketing their excellent SSD drives, like the new 2080 ti released today!

These are internal, you'd need to buy an enclosure to connect it to a USB socket.
Enclosure on sale at Zapals with code good value.
Never heard gigabyte with SSD

Naah...

I've had a 120GB Samsung for years now as my boot drive still 40GB free, and that's with installing loads of stuff such as Visual Studio etc

You don't need that much for a C: drive!

I'm not saying it's not enough, I have 120gb boot drives too. But for the extra money it's with going a step bigger, it's double the capacity for a third more money roughly, and many laptops can only take one drive so it's handy extra space for files or games.

By no means saying it's too small to use
True, can never have too much. They're finally dropping in price nicely. Looking for a 900GB ish one to follow suit and tumble in price
Still haven't used an SSD. They're pretty damn cheap now so may take the plunge to speed up my PC.

And the power draw might be too much depending on the car stereo. Stick to a USB thumbdrive, really

I'm a little behind, but not concerned with upgrades since the only game I really play right now when i get free time is Command and Conquer Generals, that classic from 2003. As you can imagine, it isn't very resource intensive. There's a 160gb Maxtor SATA drive that's been in use since 2005, still going strong as a boot drive in my PC. Hell, my graphics card is a GeForce GTX 550 Ti from 2011.

As you can probably guess, I'm a big believer in using things until they break. Once that Maxtor decides to pack in I'll be sure to look into an SSD.

I relate to this, my 7-year-old laptop has a GeForce GT 555M, it hasn't done much gaming for a long time! I recently played Trials Evolution and had to turn the graphics to low to get a smooth framerate!
Pice is now £21.96
