Popped up for me this morning while building a PC on pcpartpickers.
Looks like a decent price for what is one of the top 1060s available.

On pre-order with no ETA, but will definitely be worth the wait!

I remember paying £200 for this card. Damn crypto!

I doubt this particular model was ever £200 as it is one of the newer top end 1060s with the faster 9GHZ memory modules and triple fan design. TBH I remember reading reviews when these first came out and it turned out that in general the faster memory made little difference to the actual performance (think it was like 5%) and a triple fan cooler is total overkill as 1060s don't even push out that much heat, but considering in the current market you could probably pay £300 for a basic 1060, you might as well spend the extra £11 and get the best one...
From what I've read this week the Nvidia Ampere series are expected in April and the manufacturing of these cards is a contributing factor to why demand cannot be met today with the current generation. Although speculation there are people who think good stock of a new generation will help lower prices, maybe not back to where they should be but improved over current pricing. I'd avoid buying a gpu now if you can.

Can’t believe it’s cold. That’s a good price for GTX 1060. Well done. Heat.

How this one compare to …How this one compare to thishttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/radeon-rx-580-red-devil-8192mb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-299-ocl-2907070

General consensus is that the 580 has the edge in direct X12 (and vulcan) titles but the 1060 has the edge in direct x11 games i.e. some current and all older games. Overall though there isn't that much between then so you would probably be fine with either, though if adaptive sync monitors are something you are interested in AMD Freesync capable screens are massively more affordable than Nvidia Gsync equivalents...

I have normal 60Hz monitor. I am aiming for stable 60 FPS with high or very high settings in FPS games like FAR CRY 5 or PLAYERUNKNOWN BATTLEGROUNDS.
Bitcoin may dip again as buyer sentiment has not yet returned after MT Gox trustee dumped 40k BTC into the market.

May see a few more "deals" over the next week.

You're probably new or gotten too used to crazy prices

I remember when GTX 1060s were around £200-£250
And GTX 1070s were around £320
GTX 1080 were around £400-£450

Then wasnt even that long ago

Even then they was still considered expensive

Yeah a a lot of people are comparing it to late 2016/early 2017 prices.
Obviously it's not a bargain if you do that, so unless you you have a time machine, you won't find a better price for this top end 1060.
Even the lower end1060 6GB cards are above 300 pounds.
I can't understand why the RX580 posted is hot and this isn't?
This Is 30 quid above RRP which I paid 2 years ago, I would have voted hot at RRP but this isn't a Deal At All
Got my 1060 6GB for £155 from amazon warehouse last May with just a damaged box. The current prices are insane and deals like this make the problem worse, hardware this old shouldn't be over 50% more expensive a year on, it should be falling. These were ten a penny for £200-225 a year ago.

I’ve bagged 2 GTX 1080 for about £450 in the last month. An Rx580 8GB for £200 and a GTX 1060 6GB for £205 also in the last few weeks.

Deals are out there but you have to be fast and check often. At least some friends are now gaming at a higher level than they expected.

Yeah, are they new? They should be cheaper though now since these are the RRP prices when they released..

I remember seeing a RX 480 for £150 "ages" ago
I was going to buy 2. I didnt even buy one because I thought I should wait or get a higher end, this was before the crypto currency craze

I regret that so much

My £170 1060 6gb arrived from Amazon Warehouse today... It is actually the correct card, seems brand new and runs great under my stress tests.

This is a terrible price for a 1060
Overpriced (even with the recent price increases) and not even in stock...
Where can I find this card cheaper at the moment?

I posted that deal, it was a cracking price to be fair we put one in a friends build. I got a 1070 about 6 months ago for 290 quid and it runs like a dream guess I got lucky.

I for one hope crypto crashes and burns, and that prices start to fall and people lose money. All these dodgy trading sites do my head in.
This price is awesome and will not last so buy now or regret it, everyone blames mining for price increases but if you search you will find up to 15% to 20% of the price increases on NVIDIA cards is due to memory price and copper price increase and only 5% due to the extra returns expected and extra work involved and only because NVIDIA Are expecting loads of returns due to inexperienced miners breaking them especially as summer is coming and a lot of miners screw their cards because of terrible heat control. You will need air con, extraction system and many fans for any multicard rig to survive a summer, most manufacturers will just repair the or return them as customer damage so if your a miner as I am be careful as shops will not take the hit if you brick a card you have been mining with excessive heat. However the AMD Radeon price increases are just manufacturers cashing in as the component increase is nowhere near the 40% they have added more like 15 to 20 % max
