Not exactly the same spec. This has a faster Hard drive 7200RPM compared to the 5200RPM on the Medion and comes with 2 years warranty.

SATA SSD (up to 550MB/s) with the X7853 also vs this with PCIE (up to 3,500MB/s).

Also the X7853 is quite boxy in comparison.

Very true but pick up a 2TB 7200rpm for about £75 and fit it yourself and still save money. The HDD isnt worth £95 more.

I did vote hot for your deal btw Its still a cracking deal and dont expect the Argos or this one to stay this price for long

True, but with an extra years warranty this Gigabyte is more of interesting proposition and I would have thought the components in it are of better quality than in the Medion. I could be wrong though?

Sounds good, what about the overall performance of the Medion? As you know the SSD and HDD on paper are slower than Gigabyte.

during game the cpu was only at 10% temp about 50deg boots in about 10sec. I've not run a benchmark on it yet where can i get a good program from for it? the reviews for it that i have read are all 9+ rating

but i would say its down to what ever you want.

don't forget you can return in 30 days with argos oh and they are doing a price promise at the moment so it may be worth using that and the flash10 code (if argos stock what you want)

All my main computers are Clevos. They definitely get the job done well but aren't super solid.

Anyone considering one of these should bear in mind that 17.3 takes it beyond reasonable portability.

I had one for a bit but got rid when it wouldn't fit in any of my usual light luggage.

i wouldn't take anything from gigabyte even if they pay me for it.

Yep, if this was 15.6 it would be mega hot, but I just don't care for 17.3 they are not really portable.

With a decent backpack it's easy to cart around a 17" lappy. I carried around a chunky 17" Clevo for a couple of years and it's no problem.

Beast. Remember this is really intended as a desktop replacement. It's not meant to run off the battery for too long nor to put it in your handbag ladies. It's a more portable desktop.

Would not be buying from overclockers at any price also don't forget to add the £10.50 postage costs lol, you'd think given you just spent £1400 they could post it out free

Anyone know the refresh rate of the screen? Cant seem to find it listed

It's 60hz, no wonder they don't advertise it. They do a QHD panel with 120hz they call it the p57x v7 cf1, sells for over 2K.
