Is there any disadvantage in not having the extra 6 pin connector?
nice price

It's more of an advantage, doesn't get throttled by not having enough power for over locking and cooling. Only downside is more cables if you care about your build being tidy
Supposedly gets quite loud compared to most other models. Noisier than the reference 1070 even.

Three smaller fans like that running at 2000RPM isn't going to be pleasant. The fans on other models like the MSI Gaming X, EVGA SC/FTW and Palit JetStream/GameRock barely get above 1000RPM, and that's with only two larger fans (which are generally quieter, or at least less whiny). I guess it may be possible to quieten it down a bit with a custom fan curve set via Afterburner or something.
So So tempted............

I've been looking at this or the MSI Gaming X, all benchmark reviews have the MSI just above this in nearly all tests, Games, sound, Overclocking etc...

What to do... What to do...?

Buy the MSI.

Yep, custom fan settings have always been needed on the G1 cards, 60% fan speed was enough on my R9 290 and that card was hot as hell. Doubt you will need to go above 50% with this card however. Maybe 40%.
Heat for in stock. I'm desperate.

Not really, the 1070 reaches its maximum overclock before it uses the extra power the 6 pin provides.

This is a good card if your short on case space but want a 3 blade card (286mmx115 mm),its even shorter than the zoltac AMP with 2 fans (
300mm x 148mm)
which is the same price on pre-order via amazon OR in stock at overclockers.com.

I noticed this deal this morning but did not bother to post it as gtx1070 seem to rich for most of the buyers on here as shown in previous 1070 deals.

Any one buying a new card should also check on the warranty as there very uneven in there support for the UK.

I'd get the Palit card for the same price. Better cooler but triple slot

If you buy from Amazon the warranty cover is good.

I signed up for elite flubit for the 14 day trial and got a GTX 1070 Palit Super Jetstream offer of £374.95 delivered (from ebuyer) which seems like a pretty good deal.

Your certainly rite there, i spent a well over a £1500 at Ebuyer on components up until 2012 when they decided to screw me over with 2x faulty return + plus there ever increasing postage costs turned me away from there bosom.

I personally have a Zoltac 1070 AMP ordered from amazon for the following reasons
1. 5 years warranty + amazon no quibbles returns
2. 2x100mm compared to G1 gaming 3x90mm so hopefully be a bit quieter.
3. more lighting on the card
4. i also personally like the look of it more

IF it turns out to be a turkey i can just send it back without all the ball ache you would get with ebuyer. But this gigabyte card is still some what resonable in price compared MSI,EVGA and ASUS.

I have this. max over clock around 2050mhz so like all the rest it is louder than my old msi 970 but only at 4k (corsair 250d case) when playing at 1080p ultra bf4 fans don't need to kick in. however I have a 4k monitor and this handles it fine
given the choice I'd have gone to scan but they had no stock at the time ebuyer advertise free delivery but it's standard delivery.. who wants to wait days for a new £400+ gpu
Price has went up now, I'll Expire this
