I have this in an old SFF Dell work PC that I took home when we were upgrading PC's. This is the only thing that would fit (only takes up one PCI slot, including the cooler, any crossover into the next slot down was a no go) and run on the piddly 240w power supply.

And it's a pretty decent card to be honest, runs Smite and Dota at 1080p, mixture of medium and some high settings and solid 60fps which is all I care about. Think people are missing the point of this card, yeah it's rubbish if you've got space for a 1050/ti but for ridiculously small builds or upgrades of old PC's it's one of the few good solutions.

Exempt that there are no low profile rx570s and none of rx570s I've ever seen could run on power from pcie alone. Let's not compere 🍐 to 🍏 please

You'd get better performance from a Ryzen 3200G APU.

Aovid this junk.
This should be 40 max....it's JUNK.
For around £70 you are much better off with an RX550, or better yet shopping used for a slightly older but higher tier card like a GTX 960.

Did the GTX960 ever come in a low profile form

At least £20 over priced and at this price point, that £20 matters.

That is if you are building new system, if you go for cheap upgrade of old oem desktop/sff pc this is actually a better choice

Please share a link for low profile rx550 for £70, cheapest I could find was around £90

Go on ebay And buy what? Rx550 low profile from China is about £80 without any warrenty and support, brand new rx550 cost over £100, and there is no used market for this cards. Even used gt1030 are more expensive then op deal... And yes I know that this card is a deal only for certain use scenarios but I think that freezing it to death by people that don't have enough imagination/knowledge to appreciate it is not right

You'd be better off going for a fresh build for a couple hundred only and selling what you have.

These are never good value even in such a circumstance. The excuse of an old system upgrade is just not good enough.

On top of that NVIDIA gimped these badly by switching to GDDR4 and its not always clear which one you're getting.

Why continue to buy a product when it's manufacturer clearly took an anti consumer move to increase its profits with it? This is HUKD, and this is terrible value. Period.

If you're building a low power slip setup why wouldn't you simply get a 3200G? About £85 or so, and it saves you having to buy a 1030 and a CPU as it does both tasks.

Not having enough imagination or knowledge is such an irrelevant comment. If someone had knowledge, they wouldn't buy this inferior overpriced card over the above mentioned.

This is not for people building a new computer. This is for those many people who purchased an older refurb desktop. I did say that in the description but yea...

I'm planning on putting something like this into a 4th gen i5 8gb HP i got off ebay for £25.

To build new cheap and small system based on ryzen 3200g you need to spend at least £250, while for £80~£100 you can buy small factor refurbished lenovo/dell/hp pc with i5 or i7 CPU, slap this gt1030 inside and you have a beast of mediacenter/emulation Station pc for about £160

And what percent of people are in that demographic? This can't be hot just for the sake of that very small group when ultimately its a poor valuie proposition given the price of the product and its capability. Were this around £55 that is a fair price. And If you're buying a used/refurb desktop why not get a used/refurb one of these off ebay to go with it?

As for the GDDR4/5, again not everyone knows that and unknowingly can be purchasing a lesser version.

Have you even looked on ebay for one it these, like I said before there is no used market for low profile cards. No matter it seems we will never agree on this one.
Its hotish for me as a trashpc builder and tech recycler.

What absoloute twaddle. There are hundereds if not thousands of hot deals on here that are exactly like that. I remember a deal I saw on here yesterday for a pair of adidas for about £30 but only in size 6. What "percentage of people who are" a size 6 is irrelevant, it's a great deal for them.

Do you even know how much these are used on ebay? I bet you can't find any at a good price. SFF cards are not that common chief.

Not everyone knows a lot of things, you included it seems. You say it like you have only just discovered that tech is like that.
Kids have these in their cheap Dell and HP SFF PC's. Run's most bits they use including the dreaded Fortnite @ 1080p with Medium/High settings. No judder and frame rates are always 45-55 fps. I think the whole setup with PC and card was about 120.
