Alternative to the higher specification and cost Z370 Chipset motherboards that were previously the only way to run an 8th Generation Intel CPU.
Sure, less features such as overclocking and a few others but perfect if a locked CPU (non K model) is your install intention where you wouldn't need overclocking support anyway.

looks a good deal. however, playing devil advocate, would one not be better paying the extra £3 for the gigabyte b360m based board, for the expanded feature set ( also available at ebuyer : ebuyer.com/834…m-h )

perfect for a i3 8100 build

Get a better chipset with m.2 for a few quid more... H370 or B360
Shame there's the new AMD chips+boards in 10 days

Intel: "so... if we fleece these folks until what... a week before Zen+, then release the cheap boards so we can compete"...

Or a better platform, X470, B450
Wow these boards are so reasonable now. I paid £100+ for a Z370i board not so long ago.
Got all excited then saw the supplier... enough said on other items

I have had a bad experience with Ebuyer too.
If you have any issues and need to claim warranty, you will receive a partial refund.
They will avoid at all cost to give you a replacement if the item has any issues over 6 months.
AVOID the bad customer service and shop somewhere else.
You can get a B360 for less than £60; there's really no sense in getting an H310 board.

Though unless you're already committed to Intel's 8th gen, I think it'd be prudent to see how the Ryzen refresh shapes up; they might obsolete the i5 8400 at its current price point.

These boards are for OEM bulk (company/business orders) buy. The few pounds you save compared to a B360 are not worth it. Do not buy this board for a budget gaming rig, go for B360 and do yourself a favour guys or at least do some research and don't miss out on features you might want for another £5-£10.
