Saw this, shame about being a single fan blower.

Should go hot it's a good price

Oh well. If you know your graphics card you know it's a good price. Anyone who doesn't like the blower can easily replace it with a waterblock. The premium is for the chipset. They'll all be sold out by this morning (assuming if the OP is right about only 200 in stock).

Gut feeling says none else is going to offer a GTX 1080 with a 4 at the start. And the GTX 1080 ti is said to be priced in the £800-1000 range meaning 1080's price will not be affected. Especially as the new AMD Vega's have been delayed until almost a year from now. We'll see though.

Why is that a problem, noise or heating issue?

Generally blowers are not as efficient as the twin or triple cooler designs,as long as you've got a reasonable sized case. Blowers are better for multi gpu setups or small cases where getting heat out of the case is the biggest concern.

You will not find a 1080 for this price. the only hope is that the Ti knocks the price of the 1080 down, however, this is starting to look less likely. You can get fan versions around the £570 mark. For me, I purchased, as a 1080 for 500 IMHO is a great price. You can always hold and return if no deals appear Monday.

Can't see a 1080 being cheaper than this, heat from me!

Been waiting for this, bought, thanks op!

I be all over this if I didn't have a freesync monitor

I am in the same boat but the power of the 1080 should stop most stutters anyway

wow, this is an amazing deal... very tempting

thanks op. 4 way Sli ordered!

Fantastic deal, ordered. Shae about the cooler but unless you care about OC'ing (minimal gains) go for it

Struggling to find any decent reviews of this model. Anyone find anything I can quickly read up on?

It's really noise and heat I'm concerned about.

The card is not base don Reference design!!!!!
has more VRMs and is well designed, not going to chase fire like EVGA
the cooler is also completely different to reference design, yes there will be sound, its a blower style card! but should run cooler then FE or KFA2 cards! Youtube FE 1080 cooler reviews and it'll get a feel for the sound of the card
reference waterblocks will not work with the card as a heads up!

wish to highlight Gigabyte Have their RMA center in the UK and card has 3 year warranty !!!!!

There is none that I have found, however you can gather where the board will lie from those that are similar and have came before it. People have positive things to say about this board, a blower gets a bad name, but they offer a button boost therefor they must be confident that the temp and noise will be reasonable. What more do you want for £500

The 1080 is basically at the wall anyway, not much OC wiggle

Just got one. I'm building my new righ and I had already a GTX 1070 (that I'm returning). Don't care to much about the heat as the case is full ATX size and I have 5x140mm fans so heat won't be an issue. To good to let it go.

Very good price. 10 series doesn't exactly run hot so the blower shouldn't be a massive issue.

just gutted my review card didnt arrive on time !
but if you can accept thats its a blower type and happy to run a custom fan curve to keep sound down and cooler then great!
should boost to 2.0Ghz but because pascal is so reliant on temps, it will flux a bit, but expect it to boost hgher then stated clocks.. just like every other pascal card!!!!!

and to help the water fans, i'll be sending a block off to alphacool to have a water block made, but that will be available in the new year .

btw, if your not after a blower fan! OCUK are doing deals on Gigabyte where you get a free Gigabyte PSU, on the higher end models of the 1070 and 1080

not to steal any thunder from the £500 insane deal but

£570 odd for the Windforce GTX 1080 for those put off by blower designs

scan.co.uk/pro…-16

puts it in the price range of Reference/ other blower designs - but is a custom Board and triple fan design

As am I. I am building a new rig, so anything that gets me towards full parts the better. If the PSU was decent and you're getting a custom card then I would listen.

I'm unsure, the blower just seems to have insane value. I would be getting an MSI 1070 at £450 if not this card, I just can't see value in a 1080 above £500. I set £500 as the key price for me for 1080.

Sorry for not linking, they have sold out the allocation of free PSUs.
You could see the gift icon and click on it when viewing a card
Didn't expect them to go that quickly as it cane live yesterday

That's not true at all, you can pull 10% more even on an OC'd version (AMP!)

ALL 1080's will hit 2.1Ghz in theory. Limiting factors of Boost 3.0 which is very trigger happy with thermal heat and power eff. Air coolers should see peak boost of 2.0Ghz and hold just under, water you'll hit a constant 2.1Ghz.

Nice marketing trick with Nvidia about boost speeds, they state the Worse possible case boost! AMD state the highest.

hope this helps

It's now out of stock, thanks OP!

Cracking deal many thanks OP

all thats remaining is

hmm, just got an email from ebuyer after i paid saying they have stock issues.

What time did you place the order?

I placed mine and everything looks ok so far. However, I was worried that at the checkout when putting the delivery I saw all delivery options at 0£ cost. Weird. So far I see the order progressing, hope not nasty surprises ahead.

If you ordered and they confirmed and taken payment , then they owe you a card, OK might take sometime to get stock but they'll have to honour it. If not get trading standards in
Kitguru posted a link at 11:40 odd which I'm guessing highlighted the deal a lot more. Was expected the card to be out of stock by 11 so either they had more or took a little more time then expected .
As a heads up to all that bought, the trade price of this card is £590 so you've got it cheaper then system builders like myself get it for

hitman007

What time did you place the order?

i recieved the order confirmation and paypal receipt at 1.25 so probably a minute or so before that

i suspect there might have been a glitch because someone Jamie200 reported is as being out of stock. I didn't spot that as i went straight to the page and ordered. i just assumed they maybe had released some more but maybe their website was playing up and it let me order when they didn't have any left.

The annoying thing now is that the email saying stock issues says to log in and select from the available choices, but when i log in there are no choices just a note about stock issues
