Avaliable from CCL for 5p more (if you incl. delivery price as CCL is free) if these sell out
It's been this price for months.
£495?

It's been this price for months.

Not for the last month it hasn't. As anyone following these prices knows, corona has made the prices of these all over the place in the wrong direction. Stock levels have been scarce at places like Amazon to say the least, pretty sure these came back in stock at scan today or yesterday. Hence why I mentioned it in the description. It was a hot deal a couple days back you could find an INNO3D one for £480.
bcrabbid15/04/2020 16:01

They've been £520+ everywhere past few weeks

People are having a laugh at the moment unfortunately, including scan with this pricing.

Oh yeah I'm aware, just thought this was a good price atm, as we don't know when these things will suddenly vanish/take another price hike
Amd £200 cheaper.

Also doubles as a space heater and teaches you patience waiting for driver bugs to be fixed.

Ok that’s a bit tongue in cheek but AMD might be raising and setting new standards in the cpu markets they are not as strong on the gpu side. Yes you can get similar performance at a lesser price that not the whole picture when you look at drivers, power and heat.

I'd rather pay £200 less for now fixed driver issues.

Ok share a link of a 5700XT at £295. I’m not seeing any.

So proving my point, you can’t find any. From a search the last time they hit that level was 2 months ago.
They is a crisis going on. Don't forget to get your graphic card.
Cheers, bought one using the buy now pay in 9 months. Gives me time to shift my EVGA 2060 on eBay and with my birthday in 3 weeks time I’m sure I’ll get a bit of money from that so should be paid come birthday week.

RX 5700xt for £300

That the one you mean? I was tempted with an RX 5700xt due to upgrading from an I7 to Ryzen 5 3600x the other week but I’ve never had a problem with Nvidia GPUs so the 2070s listed here will do me nicely for a while.

I'm going from an R9 390 to this is as amd have been an "interesting" experience to say the least. Whether it be not updating properly, stutters or the temps being all over the place, there's a reason Radeon hasn't had the same effect as Ryzen

That one's supposed to be the single worst 5700XT - hotter than ref. blower
A decent XT would be more like £330-350. Top end ones are starting around £375.

Still a fair whack of cash difference.

Your's might be fixed, many aren't. Navi is still having a lot of issues, in half life alyx its been a nightmare and performs awfull according to babeltech, which for many (myself included) is a dealbreaker.

I've built 3 navi based PCs. Don't underestimate how bad the drivers are, even at this moment, 9 months after release.

The 2070 super is a much better buy, take that from someone who bought the XT Nitro. XT is cheap, but having games blackcreen randomly is not a fun experience. I'd rather have a 2060 at this point, at least it wouldn't crash, average fps be damned.

Assuming they'll be fixed for you. The latest drivers broke my 5700, and going back to previous versions have their own problems. I'd rather pay £200 from a 5700 to a 2070 Super with no driver issues.

The games black screen on my 2070 super. I read it's to do with a certain update that needs to be removed.

When will this stop being something people say? Anecdotes about navi of no interest, large scale statistics are.
When 10,000s of users were surveyed by hardware unboxed navi showed a hugely inflated rate of issues.
5700XT has a stupidly high RMA rate of 2.6%
5700XT currently plays half life alyx with frame drops, frametime spikes and overall awful experience (babeltech)

Nobody is going to listen to your anecdote but, the card has its issues.

Right, but reputed reviewers like babeltech and finding the card stutters and skips frames in half life alyx terribly (making it virtually unplayable). And vendors are reporting RMA rates inflated by a factor of 300% over the 2070 super.

You may not have had an issue, but frankly, no buyer cares, they care about the statistics and overall picture.

Meh, I'll pass on paid reviews.
The 5700 drivers are sorted.

The guy in the video did mention that the drivers do crash but the black screen issue is resolved. Im still going to wait for the 2070 super deal. Waiting for £400

where is this half life alyx fix you speak of? Any data to support the claim it's fixed?

I've been listening to the drivers are fixed for 7 months, my XT still crashes from time to time and stutters in VR. My other rig with a 1080Ti, doesn't.

I doubt you own 5700xt. How about you prove that you have a 5700xt? Instead of asking me, go ask the youtuber. I dont own the 5700xt. Even better as you own one, why dont you test it our yourself, and benchmark it. Upload it on YouTube.

I have a rift S. I have tested it on other VR titles, sometimes its great, other times its jittery enough to induce sickness (Hellblade). I have a nitro special edition XT, look in my post history if you like.

There ya go
hotukdeals.com/dea…503
Post from Feb, me discussing my nitro, positively. Or perhaps it's all an elaborate lie set up to deface amd...

So, where's the data that half life alyx is magically fixed? Babeltech give the most rigorous VR reviews on the net, and it is stuttering mess in their benchmark. I cant see any evidence its fixed.
