Perfect for lower end builds that aren't going to be needing a PSU that supports beefy graphics cards. It's well reviewed and at under £23 it's 100% better than spending 15 on an unbranded random unit.

I always say buy the best PSU that your budget allows. This one is worth considering for those not wanting a modular supply.

How is the reviews?
Wow great price. Tempted to build a small pc this looks great
Thanks for posting this. Great price for a budget build. Sadly shipping to northern Ireland is about £15 😪. I'll keep looking for a PSU for my 3200g build. Anyone have any advice for something very cheap and also not terrible?
theres like 1 review on google? :/
"It's well reviewed and at under £23 it's 100% better than spending 15 on an unbranded random unit."

What really matters is who made the PSU not who put their brand name on it.
But if you really want to buy what is entry level then I agree, at least go with a known brand name.
Personally I would't go this low end unless your total budget is tiny.

It's made by CWT.
Here is an extensive Russian review of the unit:

"At a price of around $ 50, the GIGABYTEPW400 power supply is one of the most affordable 80 PLUS certified solutions. Yes, yes, without any markings like “230 V only”, namely guaranteeing both a very high efficiency and the ability to work in a wide range of input voltages. Also, the novelty can not only provide the declared power, but also work in overload mode - in our case, the 530 W mark obeyed it. However, we advise you to keep this feature in mind, but not to use it on an ongoing basis. Although the potential of the same cooling system allows you to perform such experiments, exactly like the presence of all kinds of protections. For a bunch of any GTX 1060 / RX 570 and 65-W processor, the tested solution will work without problems.

The savings were reflected in the use of group voltage stabilization, conventional wires and inexpensive capacitors - all of the above are typical for this price range. However, circuitry plays its role (especially remember one line + 12V), the conductors have a sufficient length and a nylon braid, and the input capacitor is selected with a margin of capacity. Yes, and the EMI filter is present in its entirety, and the turntable is based on a hydraulic bearing ... As a result, whatever one may say, the GIGABYTE PW400 PSU will have a longer list of advantages. Therefore, we completely recommend a novelty to purchase.

Advantages:
  • good level of efficiency in its segment (compliance with the 80 PLUS standard);
  • excellent power reserve (up to + 32.5%);
  • good condition of voltage on the power lines + 12V, + 5V and + 3.3V;
  • very low ripple;
  • the presence of all types of protection;
  • the ability to work in a wide range of mains voltage;
  • low power consumption in sleep mode and in the off state of the computer;
  • all cables are placed in a nylon braid, and the length of the main ones will allow for hidden laying;
  • efficient cooling system;
  • 120 mm hydraulic bearing fan;
  • active method of reactive power compensation.
Features:

  • the use of little-known capacitors in the filtration unit.

The fan in this power supply is very decent for the price as it is not a cheap sleeve bearing unit.
