Windforce 3x cooling system the WINDFORCE 3x cooling system features 3x 80mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning fan, 5 Composite copper heat pipes, heat-pipe direct touch and 3D active fan functionality, together delivering an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures. Alternate spinning the Gigabyte “alternate spinning” is the only solution that can solve the turbulent airflow of three fans. The biggest problem with the three fans is turbulence. Since the fans rotate in the same direction, The airflow direction is opposite between the fans, which will cause turbulent airflow and reduce heat dissipation efficiency. Gigabyte turns the Middle fan in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure. Unique blade fan The airflow is spilt by the triangular fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow. 3D active fan The 3D active fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game. It allows gamers to enjoy gameplay in complete silence when the system is running light or idle. Heat pipes direct touch GPU the shape of the pure copper heat pipes maximize the direct contact area with the GPU, enhancing heat transfer. The heat pipes also cover the VRAM through a large metal plate contact to ensure proper cooling. Composite heat-pipe the composite heat-pipe combines thermal conductivity and phase transition to efficiently manage the heat transfer between two solid interfaces which increases cooling capacity.

Is it not worth £20 more for the anniversary XT?
With the XT at 320 at awd-it this is cold as the tundra

Can you flash this to a 5700xt?
on the whole yes. Just watch the cooling solutions. MorePowerTool is safer, although BIOS Flashing is still relatively safe and less hassle

I'd be inerested if you find it at that price sure
Anniversary is awful so loud
Voted Hot on deal as it’s a good price.

Last PC I built was in 2013 with GTX 670. And then consoles came out soon after with better config. Unless you upgrade your pc every year or two, I think it might be worth a wait to see what PS5 and Xbox specs are like. If you’re thinking of bit of future proofing that is.

3 year UK based warranty - excellent price and decent card
Great card, currently playing black ops 3 custom zombies.. Runs at 1440p with max settings at 100-160fps

Yes. Super easy too, took me 2 minutes. Last night I ran furmak for 30 min and the cards max hotspot was 92... amazing temps... running at 2050mhz and card not even undervolted...

Does it fully unlock or just increase clocks?
If by fully Unlock you mean the shaders well nope, still have 2304 if not wrong...
If you need a card now, buy this and flash it with a 5700 XT bios or a 5600 XT OC if you can find it sub £260. If you don't absolutely need a card right now. Wait until the second half of the year for the new Ampere cards and RDNA 2 (although you'll probably be waiting until next year for one at this price point).
Thanks for posting, we have added this to the Highlights pages
I personally wouldn’t recommend this company because the wind force cards have an issue with the fans.

Look up “gpu fans rattling” on YouTube or the internet and count how many are from gigabyte. I have experienced this same issue and I’m trying to get my card replaced, but people have reported replaced cards have the same issue.

Not saying that you can’t get good products from gigabyte, but just be careful and fully test your product during the return window.

Decent deal cheers.

That makes no sense, a £300 upgrade now or wait till Christmas for a £500 console? Future proofing with tech is always a non-starter...(lol)

Please re-read. I’m not suggesting buying a console at launch for PC player. All I’m saying is it would be prudent to wait for the spec at least before upgrade. There may be CPU and VRAM implications. To each to their own of course.

I was being facetious. Consoles don't compare to PC's spec wise at the same price point. PC hardware is straightup more expensive in the long run. There is, however, no doubt that games will become more multi-threaded as next gen consoles are going to be zen based (and some custom GPU).
I've been told by 2 people who use it that the 2060 is just far better and only costs a little more.

What am I missing that's £60 more not £20
We ordered one of these from Amazon same price 4 weeks ago , it was sent from Amazon Europe ( France ) should’ve arrived within 2 days but instead we got passed around the globe by Amazon customer services for 10 days it still didn’t arrive , not one person could tell us where it was ( even though it was logged as being in Stretford , which is 8 miles from our address ) we ended up cancelling it then had to wait yet another 5 days for it to be returned to our bank .
We was actually lucky in some respects as I found out hundreds of people had the same thing happen to them via Amazon with relatively expensive computer parts but they’d either received an empty box & not been refunded or their package had been marked as delivered by courier and not received a refund !!
Sad really as everything else we’ve ordered from Amazon has arrived as expected
Just a heads up for anyone thinking of ordering this from them ( Don’t )
I just bought this card from Overclockers.co.uk headline price is the same as Amazon at £299.99 however had to pay additional shipping fee of £9.90.
On the surface this might seem like a mistake however there are "freebies" that I believe you do not qualify for when buying from Amazon. In my case I decided that these were worth the extra £9.90. The extra's you get when buying form Overclockers are:
1) AMD Raise The Game GPU Bundle - choice of Borderlands 3 or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint Plus
2)AMD XBOX Game Pass For PC Promotion: 3-months of FREE Xbox Game Pass For PC

You get those from Amazon

Are you sure?
I don't see any mention of the offer on Amazon's web pages.
Amazon are not listed on AMD's amd.com/en/…eon list of supported shops
Plus comments/questions on Amazon web page state people did not get the freebies

I don't think you even get the game pass. Again not mentioned on the Amazon page for this card and the main page detailing the products covered amazon.co.uk/b?i…031 doesn't list this particular card.

Happy to be proved wrong if anyone can confirm what they got when purchasing from Amazon though
