More of a PSA since a deal on this card was posted earlier but found a cheaper price. Comes with same offer of 3 free games too.

Have this same one in my PC and it's performance is outstanding. definitely don't buy if you have anything less than 8gb ram cuz that would make the graphics card useless.
This was £300 a couple of month ago, I'd personally wait because I can see it reaching £300 again soon
Is it true they can be safely OC/moded to nearly same performance as Vega64?
Wait for VEGA 7
Does this Compare to a 1070 or 1080?
Gigabyte makes it not worth the money

Dire quality coolers - terrible fans
Overclockers have just reduced the Sapphire Vega 56 again and now £314.99. So slightly cheaper if you have free delivery with them, or a touch more if not, but either way I think I'd rather go with the Sapphire card, and am about to.

Won't the Radeon 7 be near twice this price?

yes and for less power than a 2070 or just about

It competes with the 2080. Well that's what I've seen.
I don't think the Vega 7 is really relevant to this deal, its in a completely different price bracket.
Vega is pretty lame, wait for Radeon 7 and rtx 2060 to drop and wait for prices to progressively decrease.

You can get a huge increase in performance simply by setting the power limit to +50%. However you can also undervolt these and overclock. The result is similar performance to Vega 64 (or sometimes higher) with only a little more power consumption than stock 56.

These two images should illustrate it better. Undervolt was with +50% power limit set.

These are great cards, and at around the £300 mark great value. Considering you can sell these games for around £50, makes these pretty nice.

I agree radeon 7 when it launches looks like it will be significantly better than all these stopgap GPU's they keep releasing I suspect that its not too far away from launch, I hope less than 6 months.

It's less than 4 weeks before it's released, OEMs following afterwards

ahh sorry I got confused with the names I had meant to say the true consumer grade ones with gddr6 memory rather than rebranded commercial ones with HBM2 which is still a stopgap gpu.

This was £226 last month for a few hours and some of us got them, it was not a glitch! Radeon VII has been announced so that’s probably why these are going to drop a little. I would get a reference model, Sapphire or PowerColor - avoid the Gigabyte and Asus.

not 2070 2080 from what the benchmarks shown and in some games it goes above the 2080

Apart from the deal on the 56 a while ago I don't see why the Radeon 7 will have an effect on these prices.

Really you don't think newer tech will have an affect on older tech? OK then

It's not replacing the 56 or 64. They compete with the 1070, 1070 ti, etc. The Radeon 7 competes against the 2080.
Still I'd always wait to see what impact Vega 7 will have on all the older cards not jsut from AMD
I'd avoid this specific card but a Vega for around £320/£330 is OK, however I'm not sure if the V7 will have any impact on this price bracket, the market is a real mess right now aside from the 580 being a beast for price and performance.

Hopefully the market settles sooner than later as I'm hanging on to build a new system!
