Should still be fully functional my friend, just a customer return.
Would stay away from RX 590s to be honest. Bought one last month and it had to be send back because of overheating and black screen issues.

Fans on these are like jet engines and multiple crashes for me too since I bought mine.

You could remove the heatsink and re do thermal paste for better temps!

Yeah the temp issues is what made me not get one of these
Would just echo what others are saying and stay away from these. Mine was hitting 85c and crashing every time I loaded any game. Celeste was the only thing that didn't cause it to overheat.

Have now ordered a Refurb GTX 1070 instead to avoid these completely.

Not sure if the 580 has the same issue, but seeing as they're almost identical hardware, I wouldn't be surprised

580 is fine. 590 is a die-shrunk 580 with a hefty overclock. This is the same cooler Gigabyte uses on the lesser Polaris cards and it’s rubbish. Get a 580 NITRO+ if you can - some good refurbs on offer.
I just bought a B grade Red Devil 5700 XT for £299, crazy prices here
Also gigabyte Vega 64 for £199
So it's only the loud fan that is the downside of this card?

That's exactly what's happening to me, Apex Legends and COD would crash as soon as it hits 82/85C. Tried undervolting it but that just delays the crashes by a bit.

Real minefield this stuff. Feels like you can't choose one without assistance!

That's not amazing, they were similar to this brand new a short while ago, I'd expect a grade B to be a fair bit cheaper.

Underclock it as well if you can't return it - but basically rather than use the die-shrink to improve efficiency, AMD used it to crank voltage and clockspeed beyond the efficiency curve. There are good 590s but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

Haven't seen a red devil for that low, where did you find it?

How much did you pay for the 1070 refurb?
B grade should be closer to £100

Ended up opting for a 1060 instead of one of these rx gpus due to the temps. Was limited to what I could get though because of my cpu and not wanting to use a converter

£160, eBay had emailed me a 10% off Code on one of my other eBay accounts so paid £145 all in

I meant 5700 XT in general as opposed to Red Devils but brand new cards were around £300-310 last time a code came out. So I wouldn't want to pay much more than £250 for a grade B with reduced warranty. We may see a code again soon with the economy in trouble and no doubt eBay wanting to drive traffic.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the red dragon? I've seen the red dragon go for that much. I haven't ever had problems with "grade B" and it isn't worse than used cards (which is what I mostly get) so I don't mind going it. Again, I agree its not the best price for a XT as I was looking to get something for £280 or so used, but this being a top end card, I think it's worth the price.

Yes. I literally said, '5700 XTs in general', I wasn't looking at what type of card. I know the Red Devils are good cards (probably not as good as NITRO+) but grade B at this price doesn't appeal.

Like buying a new car and then having to fit a new radiator because the one it came with doesn't work properly. It's the manufacturers job to get a product right.
