This or an RTX 2060? (Not taking free games In to consideration)

I wouldn't buy a card in 2019 with 6gb of ram.

Good price for this card. Wonder if it'll come down even more after Vega 7 next month though?
Take some heat!
fit in a mitx case?
Heard this cooler isn't great
when people say vega's have heat they are not joking
they have so much i'm scared mine will shatter the side panel glass
would be funny if i was joking but the top of my case is so hot you cannot touch it

great card for games and you get a heater for free

Which model do you have?
The price is OK but I can sell someone my GTX980ti with waterblock for around £250-£260. Performance wise you will not loose a lot compared to Vega 64. PC will run a lot cooler even on standatd cooling fans due to fact that the card is EVGA. I like AMD but these cards are just not value for money. And GTX can be used with NVIDIA Shield as Geforce NOW. So for me this deal is slightly cold.
I have a gigabyte RX Vega 56 looks to be the same cooler as this
I used to have a R9 290 which was known to be a hot card but this is on another level
there is something strange about it
I can play some games for hours and it creates no heat and the fans dont spin
but the moment I play a game in which the fans spin a lot of heat comes
Still running a 290x (what a card). I was ready with my cash when vega launched and balked at the price/performance. 18 months later its still not worth it. I'd rather lower some settings and wait for a decent card with good performance at a fair price. That's Nvidia out the equation lol.

Yeah, I'm only replacing my 290x because it died on me, it was still holding up well with most games.

Anyway, heat for this as it's cheaper than elsewhere. I bought this exact card but have just returned it as the coil whine was terrible, though I could have just been unlucky as it's a bit of a lottery with that.

I didn't think the cooling was that bad, sure it's a hot card but I certainly didn't have the issues a couple of other people have mentioned.

Vega 64 is around gtx 1080 performance these days. 2060 is 1070ti performance so not a massive difference. If the same price I would personally go 2060. 64 needs to drop to close to £300.

The 980ti is around 1070 performance. Vega 64 is 1080 so there is quite an uplift between the two. I think power consumption can’t be far off.
First of all, there's the stutter. Frame-time lurches to 80-100ms disrupted the flow of the game and it's something I've only ever seen before trying to run Battlefield 1 on a VRAM-constrained GTX 1050. Already got VRAM maxed out, he confirmed later it was a lack of VRAM... 5.7GB of the RTX 2060's VRAM framebuffer is consumed by the game - quite astonishing for a 1080p output. Although the 6GB framebuffer in the card never registered as maxed, the evidence does suggest that several of the issues I faced in tweaking the game were related to memory.

Theyll release this with 8GB in a few months
Hmm whether to bite. Only thing putting me off is the fact reviews of this gigabyte version aren't great

Was hoping vega would drop price after the vega vii, if another model was this price would get it straight away.

Anyone know how french amazon warranty works, would i have to pay to ship it back to france?

Vega 20 / Radeon 7

They’re pretty different parts, don’t really see one affecting the other. They’re at two totally different price points

I think the price drop will be because of rtx 2060 more than the v ii

Found them very good. Had to return a faulty r9 390 which was a few years old and they took it back no problem. I paid for shipping but they refunded the cost
Amazon usually don't participate in these games promotions so make sure you get screen grabs of the games promotion if buying!
Regarding this card , seems good value but YouTube reviews warn against it
Is this alot better then a Asus Radeon RX VEGA 56 ROG Strix OC 8GB HBM2 PCI-Express Graphics 1 Card?? I have just ordered a custom pc from overclockers with the vega 56

no, about 10-15% faster
Thank you. I think I got a decent deal with my system but i don't know much and this site makes me unsure lol

I agree with that, but I also wouldn't buy a Vega 64 unless it was cheaper or way more power efficient.

It's a strange time to be in the market for a new GPU.
When I click the link it doesn't show the 3 free games?
Any one know if that offer is still running & if its direct with Gigabyte or with Amazon?
Sapphire cards are much, much better for AMD. I'm waiting for a sapphire 64 to be closer to £300 with the games before buying as an upgrade from a 980. Nvidia is out of the question, 2060 is equal to Vega 56 but the 6gb vram kills it for 1440p and the 2070 is £100-150+ more than the 64 for same performance
Nice would jump but my 7970 is still going strong and I don't game much these days lol.

As for three games, the offer shows as two free games (but does not state which games you can choose from...), The deal runs from 05/01/19 - 05/02/19 to get the free games, coupon code must be redeemed by April 6, 2019, or it expires and no free games.

Four in stock ATM if your buying one, be quick lol, does say more on the way but who knows when that could be.
So pls correct me if i am wrong. its not 3 free games. Only 2 games and you are chosing right? İ will upgrade my gtx 1070 dou u recommend vega 64. İ have 2k 144hz monitör and 750w psu.
So what are the free games? And been on the fence about this to replace my 1070. Was looking at rtx 2070 or Gtx 1080ti but both get outperformed fps wise on a lot of games by the vega 64 in comparisons I've seen. So this seems worth it other than 2080. I keep seeing heat issue comments and fan noise ones that worry me.

It's a bit odd as the wording on there seems wrong, it states you get two games but refers to the RX580 ou RX570.

With the current AMD promotion you get 3 free games with the Vega, and I think with the RX590, and then with the RX570 and RX580 you get to choose 2 games from the same list of 3 games.

So not really sure, guessing they've just screwed up the details?

Details here though as I say above the wording on Amazon France seems wrong so who knows...
I've purchased, the reviews of the Gigabyte ain't great but the reviews from actual owners aren't half as bad. It's still going to be better than the refrence and the price is good
so my delivery is showing as shipped and will arrive 21st Jan!!! what the heck why would it take so long from France?

Does it sometimes get put forward?

you have a 1070 and you want to get a vega 64, why would you do this , your going to gain maybe a few fps but its £350 im not sure you will see any real difference and when you add that we know the new amd cards are comming soon

id wait a for the new cards and see if they can compete with nvidia if they do we might get a graphics card war like we did with cpus and suddenly see huge movements with better cards and lower prices over the next 6 months
and its not like your gtx 1070 cannot play anything

I have gigabyte vega 56 and I can confirm I got 3 games
Deal is back up. As an aside, I went for this graphics card a few weeks ago, has been great so far. The supplied code for 2 games did not work however - when trying to redeem it with AMD, it complains saying you need a RX 570 or 580 installed in your machine to activate. I've contacted Amazon FR, hopefully will get resolved.
