I'm still using these...not sure why I haven't switched back to previous Panasonic units. These Gigaset units are cheap and nasty. I assumed that because they were owned by Siemens that they would be decent...think of these more along a Binatone/Amstrad quality.

They function, just cheap and poor quality.

I've got these too and would agree. Excellent 'phones.

Yeah, thank God the person you are calling can't see it. lol

Some people think they are poor quality because they are so light but I think that's a bonus in my view. I'd rather hold this set up to my ear Dan at much heavier BT or Panasonic one.

There is also the added benefit of the eco mode on DS

There's also the added benefit of the eco mode on these that doesn't put out the signal at full radiation Like other phones

Great phones for the price, been using for over 2 years and no problems

Only problem is with battery life. Manual and website quote batteries from 450mAh to 1000mAh. The batteries supplied are 400mAh, which lasted around 84 hours with less than 60 minutes of calls, way below the 180 hours standby/14 hours calls quoted for the 450mAh.

Response from Gigaset "If you are not satisfied with current battery capacity, you can go to any local store and purchase rechargeable AAA batteries with higher capacity for your handsets."

I've asked them for replacements under the terms of their guarantee. They have yet to reply. I may have been unlucky and got a bad set, but not impressed with Gigaset's response, considering the phone's less than a week old.
