Heat added

Nice find. I really rate gigaset. Had a few others over the years but my current c430a set are the best by far. If I needed to replace them I'd jump at these. Heat.

Match with Marlin as the Logitech harmony ...good on Amazon .note signal from base to distant bedroom phone can be weak..

Thanks, I could do with a new one

seems fishy

I stopped using Landline long time ago as all calls I would get were marketing calls from abroad at odd hours which cannot be blocked.

Thanks OP. Ordered. My 'new' Panasonic cordless phone set bought this summer from Costco has dreadful call quality. The fifteen year old set they replaced was easily better, but sadly falling apart. I'll be taking the Panasonics back to Costco for a full cash refund once these are set up and hopefully demonstrated to be superior.

Sam I have one which was a mandatory one from bt. Never have I made a call.

There is a company you contact online, give details and all Marketing calls stop. It’s been a year now, however I cannot remember the company. It was on watchdog

Truecall does this without any problems in my experience. However, it isn't cheap and access to the web control panel, if you require it, comes with an annual charge.

The TPS, Telephone Preference Service most likely. Companies, especially those based abroad, regularly ignore it.

the sound quality on these are excellent.

These are great phones.
Have some heat.

I don't need a new set but agree with other comments here, my current set is a Gigaset trio bought refurbished and they have been far better than my last three sets. If anyone doesn't need three handsets, the twin set is also a good price at only £35.

got mine from Maplins last month for £35 but this is a good deal for 3 brilliant phones with a long range

The nuisance call blocking capability on these seems rather feeble compared to a Truecall phone.

Used? Was that Amazon Warehouse because new is only £35 for the twin? Otherwise I would have gone new if I were you.

But of course if Truecall is built in to the phone, there is no web control and hence no charge.

Also, for those with a Sky landline, Sky Talk Shield appears to do much the same thing:

sky.com/hel…ned

BT also have their BT Call Protect system:

"Gigaset's 'Radiation-free' ECO Mode Plus turns off the transmitter when the handset is on standby."

Gigaset (Gigaset AG, formerly known as Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices is a multinational corporation based in Munich, Germany) is one of the only manufacturers who seem to offer lower or non-radiation phones - which also protects the environment. Don't forget these also have a 2-year warranty for your added peace of mind. I have used Gigaset phones for my daily business use in a busy office during the last 3 years and I can attest to their reliability.

If there's a problem I shall return!

Great price. Thanks Op. Heated and ordered.

I've got a BT phone that blocks calls.
If I check missed calls, most of them are International, about 10 a week.

Cheers op. Ordered. Says 1 to 3 weeks for delivery now.

Almost 90 quid now. 😡

Still available at £44.99 from Amazon with 2-3 week delay. Click '5 new from £44.99' to order at this price.

Just setting up now. Zero functionality other than make/receive calls from the Gigaset base unit for my other non-Gigaset DECT phone in the teenage son's room. It's a pity because the intercom function was useful with the old set for calling him down at dinner time.

sadly I only have around two calls a year to the landline, so wouldn't really get a chance to use 3 phones

You need an "Add nuisance calls" feature.

I just want someone to call me, even if it's an iPhone deal from India...
