I love my Gillette Fusion Power razor more than I hated the advert. It seemed a stupid decision for Gillette to run an advert like that, but I really didn't care an awful lot. They still make great razors and blades.
Wow, great deal on an overpriced cartridge! ..tried D.E.?

De??

The right & proper stuff, filthy cheap once you've got a comfy weighted metal razor & found razorblades that work for you I recommend the no.1 ..as per the link, but that's my skin.

Shaving is pleasurable again!

Thanks for the message I’ll check it out
meh, gone over to wilkinson sword
I agree, de safety razors are far superior to cartridge razors
Tried DE for a few years but went back to the Fusion.
A DE shave took ages and I had to get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning.
I d.e. Shave in 5 minutes, unless you insist on pomp & pageantry a shave is still just a shave.

Sink part filled with hot water & razor ..same
Soap / creme in hand foamed up in palm ....same
Applied liberally & accurately by brush ..mere seconds. (Compared to sticky foam in a can slapped on face inaccurately & to varying depths).
Razor draws ...same. (But faster due to better weight & non clogging blades)
Second pass ...if you need it, same as before.
Rinse & run / apply styptic pencil if still learning / lost concentration.

hotukdeals.com/sea…ing old deals which it you cost up will get you a good idea of prices, some folk (purists) go overboard.

I use 3 soaps. (Finding my feet & subsequently using up)
Arko stick, cheap, thin but ok, not good for learners
Palmolive stick, cheap, mainstream brand, foams well ..adequate +
A big tube of proraso when it was cheap, foams beautifully, slick, miserly quantities needed when used with A cheap £4 boars brush.
Decent brand styptic pencil ..very necessary for beginners, & when you lose concentration at the sink doing "fast passes" ...slow down.

My blades, got lucky second go, green packets variant are better on my skin than blue pack (as per link) each different brand of blade is like driving a different car to what you are used to!? .it's a case of finding what works for you, luckily blades are filthy cheap, so you will end up buying a 100 blades when you get settled in with your favourite type, Likely you will end up with a selection box of never tried & cut me to ribbons blades that you then give away to the next person you get into d.e. ..but give an hour preferred brand too! ..it might save them time finding "the one".

Handle, mine is a 20 quid (less on a deal) which works with my face, I have a cheaper safer one that is too safe but works well as a travel razor with my favourite blades, ..it has a bigger "bumper" protector so the cut is blunted by comparison to my every other day razor of choice.

Honestly it's worth the initial outlay & cuts that come with finding your feet (sic) in shaving ..stick with it & it gels, use your hand to pull your skin tauter, go slow as a beginner expect cuts & neck rash swap blade types regularly till you find what works, selection packs available.
Or have a beard, trim it now and then. Job done, sleep to driving to work 15 min.

And yes, before that advert i was a clean shaven fellow.

Corporations shoulds steer clear of politics.
