Just picked up a few of these from Argyle Street, Glasgow (plenty left), but I'm sure it will be national. Don't have a receipt this time, sorry

Usually around £3, though £1.97 at Asda currently mysupermarket.co.uk/tes…tml

Gillette Fusion Proglide Clear Shave Gel is a transparent and non-foaming shave gel lets you see where – and what – to shave. Formulated with advanced lubricants for incredible glide, comfort and smoothness.

nice one,cheers

Bought a tube to take away on holiday a year ago. This is the most disgusting, useless ooze you'll ever use. It doesn't froth, and is just a slippery slithery concoction to put on your face hoping it will make it slippery enough to avoid a razor cutting into your skin. This seems to be the worst idea gillette ever had. If you shave opposite direction you will end up cutting yourself and its ifficult enough doing that with foams. Horrible. Just my opinion.

I thought pretty much this too, well think of it as more of a held belief - didn't think anyone else had a problem.
Feels like my face is getting touched up by grandad it's so slimy.

None of the gels in a plastic tube i've used are as good as the canned gels.

Well this is all I ever use. Gives such a smooth shave, and lasts for ages.
I shave in the shower every morning, wash my face then use the amount you would put on your toothbrush. Massage in, and away you go.
I don't miss looking like Father Christmas when I shave, and you can see exactly where your razor needs to be. I normally buy a couple of tubes when on offer in Tesco at £2, so great price for a great product.
Try it, for a quid, what have you got to lose...

An oldie but a goodie (flies off the shelves at Poundworld when they get them) is Gillette Series 3 In 1 Instant Hydration Moisturiser SPF15. When Poundworld stock them I buy a couple for boyf, he loves this stuff. Poundworld sells a few other Gillette moisturisers but I always go for the one with sun protection.

while i find this stuff useless compared to a brand starting with the letter N its a hot deal for those that are able to shave with out cutting their face up like Freddy Kruger.

Have to agree. I got it thinking it was like the usual gel which I prefer over foam but it's crap.

Got some as a packin with a razor and took it on holiday. It's absolutely awful, worse than dry shaving, almost impossible to rinse off. It's odd as Gillette make great stuff normally.

I normally use king of shaves sensitive but recently spotted some gel in home bargains made by the real shaving company for £1.19, equally as good if not better than my usual brand.

wow i must be the only one then who prefers this shaving gel over the foam..it seems to work a lot better on my skin..but maybe its a placebo. I did however notice that new gilette 'hydroball' is load of crap and doesn't work..the original gillete blades are better for cutting. But great price for this item!

The concept is it doesn't "foam" up and remains relatively clear so you can see what you are shaving. It does what it says on the "tin" .

I bought one of the real shaving company gels a few months ago from Poundstretcher - cost a £1 I think. I have only used it twice as I found it caused a rash.

The best I have ever used is the Clinique gel - it used to be about a tenner, which was ludicrous, but I think it is nearer £20 now. Used to give a rash free shave though.

It seems that shaving creams are like marmite - you either love or hate a brand. Perhaps marmite would make a good shaving cream?

Just use hair conditioner, it gives far better results than any foam or gel.

Some men swear by Wright's Coal Tar Soap for shaving, though I'm pretty sure, like Pears Soap and all the rest, it's been reformulated and isn't the same as it was years ago.

Can't really comment on gels as I only do "girly shaving" but I just use soap in the shower!
