A blade for a double edge safety razor costs about 10p and will give you the same shave if not better.
Not 12.75 cold

I've tried so many times over the years to get on with DE (Merkur razor, Derby/Feather/Gillette blades). But having to do 3/4 passes for an acceptable finish isn't time efficient sadly (especially on a hyper sensitive neck). Now I use a Philips One Blade and a quick once over with a Fusion/Mach 3 and get the best finish I've ever managed.

So while DE is cheap, it takes a lot longer and isn't always as simple as a single pass (which I suspect most manage with a disposable cartridge system, regardless of the absurd pricing!).

It’s 12.75 for people who use s&s, just cause u don’t use it and as such don’t qualify doesn’t mean this is cold
Still looking for a good deal on Fusion blades.

I use S&s. It’s not 12.75 as everyone is telling you. Mods must be off duty they don’t allow s&s as the price especially when you’ve buy 5 sign ups to get the price. Sorry but The title is misleading. I haven’t reported but it should be reported.

There are a lot of people that use s&s regularly and will get this price, including myself. Nothing stopping you adding another four items some as cheap as £1 example a handcream to get this price. The price is not for everyone as per the title clearly states but is available for some people who would benefit from this.
This is no different to a lot of the deals on here which are available in one Sainsbury’s branch or Tesco or Argos but it’s not nationwide available to everybody doesn’t mean it’s cold!
The point of this post to help some people Who already shop with S and S and to give others the opportunity to get it if they wish to add four items.
So it’s a valid deal and I think just because you can’t get it or you choose not to add four items to get the price doesn’t mean it’s cold
Even if this helped one person then it’s served it’s purpose

It doesn't take 3-4 passes. If it does, you need to change the blade or the razor or both. What you need is practice, nothing else.

I have been doing DE shaving for almost 10 years now with my daily razor a Merkur 23C. This is usually paired either with a Gillette 7 O Clock Platinum (also called Gillette Black), a Kai or Polsilver Super Iridium. It took me a few months to get the pairing right. On a bad day, I need a second pass.

Razor is right from the beginning, paid less than £20 for it. Gillette Black is around £10-12 for 100 blades which for me is almost 2 years supply. My problem is this has now become an expensive hobby

It's time I don't have sadly and unlikely ever will. The one blade and fusion is about £7 and lasts me at least six months - I can't get on with any other blade on my neck at all. I also only shave once a week if I can help it

Can one blade while in the shower and finish with the Gillette after doing teeth.

DE works great I do get it but it's very much user specific and isn't for everyone.

It's possibly just me with snowflake skin even after shaving 20 years (despite my dad being made of leather)
I bought this in Asda last time onthe £11 deal and have to say these are the worst blades ever they go blunter quicker than a bic cheapo and the handle just doesnt feel very good i hate to admit it but the 5 blade expensivo ones are better although i prefer a DE or cutthroat myself does anyone else rate these?

I found these gentler on my face, when I used the fusion or the other newer Gillette’s they cause me a rash, yes u r right these go blunt quicker but they are also cheaper and I find them gentler on skin
Cheers, ordered these as wasn't impressed with the Dollar Shave Club blades.

There were several reports on the last Asda deal that the blades in these 12 packs were sub-standard & blunted quickly. I dismissed this & bought a pack but they were right, blades blunt much more quickly than any other Mach3s I've bought. I don't know why that would be but I won't be buying again.

Cheap as DE is, it is very time consuming. But as a lot of us have a lot more time on our hands in these strange times, maybe worth a try for those that haven't before.
Yeah I had a batch of bad blades. Used three blades and went through one a week (normally I get 3 weeks and that's shaving Mon-Fri.

The replacements sent out were fine though.
Yeah these are not as good as they used to be.

If you spend time learning how to use a double edged safety razor it will definitely give you a better shave. It doesn't take much to become proficient either. Blades are so much cheaper. I would always recommend them to anyone who wet shaves.

I use straight razor with disposable blades Feather Artist Club SS. Blades last for months if you dry and put the razor in silica beads to dry it thoroughly.

Blade costs about 40p and you won’t have to buy another razor for life. Different blades for different hair types. I have heavy thick beard and it’s quite like slicing through butter.
