Ginsters & Pasty shouldn't belong in the same sentence.

It should be a potato & mince/slop pastry wrap.

yeh well the original pasty doesn't sound too appetising in this day and age. also this is as good as it gets if your not in cornwall.

Must be desperate if you'd eat one of these. Certainly not 'good' and certainly not a real pasty

I think you meant "ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING PUTRID EXCUSE FOR A PASTY".

These "Pasties"? are an INSULT to a proper CORNISH PASTY..They are made of MUSH and GROUND UP GRIZZLE .A REAL Cornish Pasty is made of..CHUCK STEAK...SWEDE.. CHIPPED POTATO and ONION. I know, because I hail from the REAL pasty World!!.

The word you're searching for is 'oxymoron' - look it up if you need to!

Wikipedia: An oxymoron (plural oxymora (Greek plural) or, more often, oxymorons) ("sharply dull" in Greek) is a figure of speech that combines normally contradictory terms. They appear in a range of contexts, from inadvertent errors such as extremely average, to deliberate puns like same difference, to literary oxymorons that have been carefully crafted to reveal a paradox.

Talk about patronising.

Perhaps he knew it was an oxymoron but preferred to phrase it how he did.

Actually a proper Cornish pasty is made with beef skirt...:)

Havwe to agree on Ginsters though - insulting to even have these called a pasty...

Well I’ve seen several shops around that sell something more like a traditional pasty for an extortionate price in various places and lots in railway stations. Never bought one as I'm not paying close to £5 for something that is £2.50 back home.

I love a nice pasty, therefore I hate these.

Am sat here eating a pasty right now ....... but this one is from Greggs

unfortunately I dont live in Cornwall and certainly not going to travel just for a pasty! or go to a dedicated shop for one either! Same reason why we dont all live on farms and make our own food anymore from source.

I was endorsing the comment - not correcting it! (Are you his minder or something?).
Maybe I could have made that clearer - well I am now.

You seemed to be doing both. Especially by adding the wiki definition of oxymoron too, so you clearly didn't think he and many others knew what it meant. I champion the patronised. :viking:
