The MTL9351B aluminium tripod legs offer great stability as well as being extremely portable, featuring robust and durable aluminium construction, quick action lever leg locks and foam hand grips. The tripods versatility is further enhanced by the addition of the 3-D centre column function which allows you to remove the centre column from its vertical position, rotate it through a 180 degree angle and lock where required. This combined with the variable leg angle settings makes this tripod ideal for low level photography. The MH5011 3-Way head is new to the Giotto's range, it is made from cast aluminium and features easy to use pan + tilt handles, a quick release system with secondary safety catch and spirit levels to ensure accurate camera set up.

Great spot, next cheapest is around £110

HOT! and ordered

a bit off topic, but can anyone recommend a travel tripod? i was thinking of Slik Sprint Mini II GM Tripod

Great price. I have the earlier version (with the 5001 head), it's very stable, albeit rather heavy. Can support a pro spec slr with 70-200 f/2.8 no problem. Recommended, though I also bought a ball head as the three way supplied is quite cumbersome...

arhh - was looking for a good new 'pod under £100 for my hols, didn't find one and so blew the cash on a nice meal in Bayeaux last week. Voted hot and hoping it's still on offer after I mot the car and pay all the bills that have accumulated whilst i've been away.

Very stable with excellent head

Have this set, great tripod. The black finish comes off quite easy though but don't despair

Excellent tripod. I've got it and I absolutely loved it. Came top in one of the Digital Camera Magazine test. Defo a bargain at £75!!! HOT HOT;)

was down to £69 a month ago ? just saying ! Its still about £110 at most places

Hot at that price. How does it compare to the Manfrotto 190XPROB or Manfrotto 055xbpro

Near enough, a lot of tripod for the money!

I have this tripod very solid and a good price however I personally would opt for a different head to use with the tripod. The three way head kit I've found with extensive use is slightly cumbersome when compared to a ball head. Great deal have some heat!

Just ordered, have some heat!

Thanks op - ordered. More than I wanted to pay, but after reading several reviews - this is one mighty fine tripod and bargain!

good price compared to else where

nice find op, heat added.

anyone have an opinion on the above link compared to this deal?

i'd prefer compact, but it's not a deal maker.

Just ordered. Needed a new lighter tripod for my landscape. Just right, My old Manfrotto is getting heavy! Half price on rrp, how can you miss?!

I had some Amazon vouchers, so was going to treat myself to Lightroom 4. Then I saw this deal and found that it qualified for the £20 off Lightroom 4 if bought together. Well I just had to do it (and yes, someone was holding a gun to my head).

This site is costing me a fortune

ordered one! looking forward to using this

Probably not. I caused the same thing to happen to a Sigma lens a while ago after I returned two duff copies. They told me they withdrew it whilst they checked their stock to make sure it wasn't a bad batch. So it probably means one or two people have returned them for whatever reason.

Even if you find a problem with it, you won't have a problem returning it for a replacement or refund, Amazon were brilliant when I returned those lenses. No hassle at all.

Aaah, it does have the slight downside that you can't actually order it at the moment...so there's that.

I wonder what it is, I got mine today and seems to be fine. Tripod with Head boxed new and everythign seems to work fine. havent had a change to try it properly as waiting for my camera

i've just received mine, seems fine. haven't read the instructions, just played with it without my camera attached and all seems good. heavier than i expected (not owned a decent tripod before) but I can only see this being an issue when taking on a flight. not really an issue.

happy with it and looking forward to testing it out this weekend... at the latest!

edit - okay, I just tested it out already. seems 100% fine to me. have used it in a variety of positions and can see no bothers whatsoever. very happy, just need to improve my photography skills to accommodate now
