Ordered. Nice find OP. Needed a bike storage hook too, this took order to over £20 so free delivery.

I probably should buy a helmet, at this price no excuse

Thanks, figure this will go nicely with my new bike!

I have this helmet excellent for the price bought from the Rutland eBay store link as above

it does not give a size. not much use as one size does not fit all, even if its adjustable to a small degree.

great suggestion, ive done the same good deal!!

I bought a similar helmet for £19.99 at sports direct, they had some for £15 there too if anyone doesn't want to pay for delivery

I brought one of these the other week, had to send it back as it was to small, i have a 60 - 62cm head so quiet big just incase anyone wants one that also has a bomb head like me

This £13 Giro crap

One size!!! mmm - Get a proper fitting helmet - Something is better than nothing though ... No vote either way.

Are Helmet companies allowed to sell helmets that are rubbish? I wouldn't have thought so. Surely that'll be illegal?

It's like a parachute company selling parachutes that only work on Tuesdays. X)

Note that 61cm is the maximum for Giro's adult universal fit. You need the universal fit extra large which is from 58 - 65 cm...

See their sizing chart here: giro.com/gir…pdf

These have the Acu Dial system, so they are quite adjustable, see the sizing chart: giro.com/gir…pdf

Hot from me.

The posts saying you should get an expensive Giro Aeon instead are a joke. If you're riding in the Tour then maybe. But those Aeron's are just more lightweight and have more vents, as well as a more fancy fit system. So basically you are paying for holes

I bought one of these last week for my (adult) daughter since we're going on a cycling tour round Lake Constance on Wednesday. My wife has a Giro helmet for which she paid around £50 (not sure what model), but the fitting mechanism is identical and the main perceptible difference is that the £15 one doesn't have webbing in the holes so you may get flies in your hair. Since it's only going to be used very occasionally the skyline seems good value to me. Of course you can buy more expensive anything, but for light use this seems fine to me.

You suggest that you should buy a bike helmet worth more than my bike is worth as it can save your life, if you think cycling is as dangerous as having to go to that extreeme, surely the safest thing is to not cycle

I don't believe there's any difference in safety between cheap and expensive helmets - they meet the same standards. What you get with more expensive helmets are things like lighter weight, better ventilation, more comfort etc.

I ride 400 miles a month and consider myself a keen cyclist. I use one of these Giro Skyline helmets which I got for about £20. It's light, comfortable, fits well, and has proven to be well made.

Just buy something that fits well and is comfortable, then you'll use it. Spend whatever you need to achieve this.

After decades of riding cycles without wearing a helmet, I figure my luck may run out one day soon. So I bought this helmet and it was delivered today. Seems to fit well and is comfortable to wear. Deffo like the peak that gives some sun shade.

Just saying that if you are going to buy a helmet don't buy this rubbish, buy a helmet that will actually protect you. Helmets aren't needed. You really should get a better bike / spend more.

Michael Schumacher thought the same !!! All is well, I am well protected ! If you go down this line of thought at least try and make an effort to do some good for yourself and family !

I still have no idea what this piece of plastic strapped to your head is going to do with ANY collision !

But yeah man ! All you cyclists know best lol
