This looks cool and a really good price, anyone got one to give a HDUK review?
I'm not interested in spending hundreds on an official smart watch so this looks ideal

Smartwatch are useful for me because I don't have to take out my phone (can be god in busy enviroments and enviroments that has thieves)

also very good when at work or in a bar/club, Gym is another place I can think of too

Was a bit cheaper a couple of days ago- uk.camelcamelcamel.com/LEM…CBC

I think their point about price when compared to a Samsung Galaxy Gear is a compelling one.

WHY???
i purchased this in the last deal and set it up yesterday. initially it paired up with my S4 without a hitch but the notifications didnt work unitl i downloaded the correct app (BT Notification) from the internet and not the play store.
i can receive and make calls from it - nice and clear
i get notifications about texts/whatsapp messages
it has a pedometer - im not using it
it can play music and has a barometer, stopwatch and an altimeter
it also connects your phone so that you can take pics - not sure how this works ...yet!
for the price of £21 (what I paid) its a great gadget and now my boys want one too.
some people mentioned the straps being poor quality but mine are nice soft rubber ones and i cant see any issues with it.

i hope this helps

Intriguing! I know I don't need a smart watch, but I've been eyeballing them for a while now. Will look at some reviews when I'm home, thanks op!

i think the smart watch idea is a good one. as other have said if you are out and about or in a busy place, having to dip in and out to get your phone out to check it you have missed a call or to read a text can be a right hassle. also eliminates the possibility of dropping your phone trying to get a call urgently. the fact it notifies you for literally any messages from all types of apps is really cool

my only worry is whether i buy it now or wait to see if it comes down in price!
Terrible, I have one!
Is this watch waterproof?

I think if you buy cheap you're going to get cheap but I know from experience these are a lot better with android so all iphone users you will be wasting your money even though it's 20quid..I'd rather save my pennies and get the apple watch over a cheap replica..also I wouldn't be able to bare the shame when wearing it and asked if its the apple watch no it's a cheap replica with a few same features cost me £20 oooo the shame!!
I'm really wanting a smart watch and been searching for one that works well with iPhones and iOS, but like people are saying here all the cheap ones seem to be android based and only have very limited iOS compatibility.
I was thinking of the Apple smartwatch but it's way to expensive especially when compared to the to android smartwatces (except them Samsung gear smartwatch).
Apples starting price of £299 is about £80 to expensive £199 for the basic would of been better or £219 max but at the price Apple UK have set I think it's going to be hard to justify the purchase.

The only other real options for iOS compatible smart watches is the pebble (range) and Alcatel onetouch smart watch. The pebble is great with compatibility but lacks a colour and touchscreen and the Alcatel is not even released yet.
The good thing is both can be bought for approx £100 which is a third I'd the price of the apple and seem the only decent viable options if the apple smartwatch is too rich for you.

Personally I'm thinking of a pebble but just can't decide to bite the bullet and get one or to wait for the Alcatel as its touch and colour.

How would wearing this be shameful?
I have bought a similar cheap watch from China to try out and would happily have bought this watch to try. I am not in the market for spending £100's on such watches at the moment. I am looking to see if it is something I am going to continue to use once the initial excitement (if u can call it that) wears off. I guess for me the important issue with all these watches is battery life. It is bad enough charging a smart phone each day let alone a watch as well. I notice there don't seem to be many that work with Windows phones, only Android and iOS.
Is there a difference between this an the ones marked as 'Pro'? Does this take a SIM card? If not that might be the difference.

I've just ordered a U8 Pro for £22.79 just to see what it's like. It will be my first smart watch as my Pebble Time Steel won't ship till July or August. If you're happy waiting think about pledging for one on kickstarter.
Is the face screen changeable?
IE analogue /digital, customisable
I have one of these for sometime now, and I am very impressed with it. I use it everyday with ease, the battery life is generous in the fact that it lasts just a tad over two days. It does inform you of you emails and texts etc you can select what apps you want it to notify you in the "smartwatch helper" app you need to download. the call quality is very clear and the vibration is loud.

ok the bad points:

when scrolling threw the phone book the watch can sometimes freeze.

if you turn your mobile off and then back on the app crashes and you need to de-install then re-install.

but above all its a nice neat watch for not a lot of Penny's.

sorry for the bad post its my first .

Would you mind telling me where from please? I'm getting a new phone soon and want something cheap to alert me when i get calls in a noisy environment.

Also does anyone know if this vibrates nice and strongly?

Thanks

Showing " OUT OF STOCK " now.
Can this be tracked or would it be any good at all for a child that's out playing? We've done the cheapy phone thing and that got lost within days
