Great if you have family there! (Just did a quick search and 13 nights accomodation there costs thousands of Pounds!)

You can spend thousands of pounds on accommodation wherever you go! Just to need to look a bit harder me thinks.

The first example I found was a 2 bedroom apartment for £980.

No, we Scots feel a good stiff kick in the ballz is far more effective
Both countries speak English...... Just Glaswegians that cant be understood!!!
Travel around the island on the Route Taxis for a few dollars ,basically a shared minibus that hurtles around at breakneck speed. you get funny looks off the locals tho' as tourists don't go near them.

Beer, as in, Beer can sandwich
Sorry, but I thought Barbados was a dump, and we were staying in a villa on the beach on the west coast which is meant to be the best part. Had a car so toured the whole island and it did not get any better. Arrived Saturday, flew back early Tuesday as it was so bad, I suppose if you are at a All Inclusive resort and don't venture out anywhere then fine, but you don't need to go to Barbados for that
barbados, full of british immigrants, glasgow full of barbadiun imigrants, your better off just traveeling to the opposite place you want to experience.
this aint working
this dont work
Applehead, I am from Glasgow and I found Holetown to be lovely. Expensive restaurants but food was great. Amazing beaches. The locals were really friendly and helpful and we even passed this big tall local guy who had a t-shirt with the scottish flag on it. How he didnt spot us out as scots instantly I dont know- y'know that milk bottle lardy look..with bits that have burned bright red where we didnt put enough lotion on...
Sadly I live in Gloucestershire - I'd guess return rail to glasgow is probably £300

I agree. Flew out for a long weekend and was rather put out to find reception (in a 5* place) asking how many tokens I wanted to buy for the air conditioning !

Food was poor for the standard, beaches bettered by many in far better places and racist locals who hated whitey lounging on his beach and hated whitey's non white partner even more for being with whitey. I was utterly taken aback and will never return.

That sounds like a really super fantastic deal for a flight to the subtropical island of Barbados. Many thanks to the Original Poster.(_;)
Fantastic deal for any Barbadians who want to go to Glasgow and experience the finer side of life!
Who's idea was it to schedule a flight from Glasgow to Barbados????

What next? Beirut to Beverly Hills?

(no offence, of course...Beirut aint that bad anymore :p).
Expensive to eat out or buy food from supermarkets, and so are drinks.........so it will end up costing a few thousand with flights, transfers, accommodation, food & drink and getting around......maybe just cheaper to go all inclusive. We loved it there.....I guess it's what you make of it!
Not sure why, but I booked now this deal ... £257 return which is quite incredible. Sorted also out some cheap accommodation for 8 days so far,
I am staying in a single room in Desert Rose, St Lawrence Gap for £17 per night. Anyone knows if that is a good area with good beaches and some
evening entertainment. Still have to book 6 more nights, any suggestions for other places that need to be explored?

Many thanks!

Makes sense, otherwise I guess the flights would get more expensive rather than cheaper
